Location can't be beat : the sandbar is practically behind the accomodation, with a direct path to the (best) beach. The plot is big, so it's really nice to wander around all the plants and little paths. The double room we had was lovely, with view on the outside. Shout-out to the wonderful team who cooked amazing food for us and taught us Swahili. Very nice village close by, next to F-cafe, and good local food around. We had the best best time !

This really is the best place to stay on the Kenyan coast. It's not fancy, but it's a fantastic place in a perfect spot right next to a gorgeous stretch of beach. I live in Nairobi and have stayed at lots of places on the Kenyan coast, and the Watamu Beach Cottages is my favourite by far. The staff were friendly and helpful, the bungalow was beautiful and comfortable, and the viewpoints (where you can sit and enjoy the view of the ocean) were amazing. And the snack bar has great food! I'll definitely be back.

It's clean, has AC and fans, a well equipped kitchen and a small balcony for a morning coffee. Everything worked. The compound also felt safe and in a calm area. Very good value for money.

Pucci house is a lovely, small guesthouse with pretty gardens and in a residential neighbourhood not far from shops and eateries. Alex was a very attentive host, gave me tips for the area and organised transportation back to the airport. I found Jua room really comfortable and furnished to a high spec, overlooking the communal gardens. A lot of care has gone into the design and furnishings of the guest house. Breakfast was simple and nicely prepared by a lovely woman in the property. Having both an overhead fan and AC was really great as the heat is quite something in Watamu! Chef Tinga provided us with delicious breakfast and dinner, probably the best food you can find in Watamu. Manager Alberto answered quick and patiently to all our questions before we arrived. We warmly recommend Kimya House to anyone visiting Watamu.
