She is so genuine and kind and works hard to make sure her guests have a wonderful time in Battambang. She’s a great cook, as well! The restaurant area is up on a big open floor and is a lovely place to relax, read a book, and have a cold drink. Anut really wants people to feel like they are family when they are there and she showed us some great local places to get breakfast and coffee. Just such a nice spot! I felt like we lucked into one of the best places! Rooms are simple but clean and have AC, and the guesthouse is near the Phare Ponleu Selpak circus.

The staff is lovely and very helpful, the room was very clean and calm. The food is very tasty even though there isn’t much choice but you can find other options around the block. Common area with a pool table, restaurant and hammocks. Good location, not far from the city center. You book lots of activities and transportation with them. If you want to discover the history of Battambang, please ask for the guide called Sophorn. He was amazing, has endured all the Khmer Rouges era in Battambang so he knows what he’s talking about more than anyone else. We learned so much and he was so lovely! Would definitely come back again :)

This was my second stay of 13 nights at the Lux Guesthouse; last time was in February 2024. Was allocated Room 3001 initially, but the air conditioner wasn't working. Was moved into 3002 which was a better room as it had a double bed and a single. I used the single to lay out my belongings as there is no wardrobe. Large room and good bathroom. Room was serviced about 7 times this visit. Love the access to the swimming pool at the Villa Lux Hotel.
