We booked last minute for just one night, we were lucky to find the Terrace, a small, simple and incredibly peaceful place. The room was clean and spacious, overlooking the valley, good breakfast. Host Ashan is incredibly kind and helpful. Location is a 9 min tuktuk ride from the heart of Kandy (the hotel has one) which is absolutely worth it to enjoy the view and peaceful stay at Terrace Kandy. Thanks again Ashan and everyone who took care of us.

Beautiful spot nestled in the beautiful nature with direct views of both Sigiriya Rock and Pidurangala Rock. Comfortable, clean and modern. Walking distance to Sigiriya Rock which was also huge bonus. Delicious meals prepared by Suman and his family. Suman went above and beyond to help us with our stay, we couldn’t recommend him enough!

The BEST stay in Sri Lanka! The family are so welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was out of this world. So special to try so many different Sri Lankan food options, we were truly spoilt! The room was great, spacious and so clean. The bathroom was massive and had a good shower. The bed was comfortable and the aircon was fantastic too. We really appreciated the decorations for our honeymoon stay. What sets this stay apart from others is how welcomed we felt. Chaminda was always around to answer questions, organised a safari for us and even took us to a local shop in his tuktuk. It’s the perfect location, lots of restaurants and shops nearby within walking distance. Super close to Lion’s Rock too. We would really recommend the Safari jeep tour with Tharanga (Kindly organised by Chaminda) we had a private tour of Eco park and saw so many elephants it was incredible! For a really great price too. Tharanga was lovely and knew exactly where to go to see the elephants, he also kept his distance which we appreciated. All in all, this was our favourite stay in this amazing country and we can’t recommend it enough!

Wonderful stay with Gihan and Dinu! We stayed twice for a total of 7 nights. A wonderful, authentic experience in Sri Lanka. They are extremely kind and welcoming. They speak English very well, and we were able to take the time to ask questions and discuss many topics such as culture, sports, politics, food, customs, etc. This allowed us to better understand this country. They truly care about their guests, making sure we have everything we need and giving great tips for visiting the city and its surroundings. They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner if needed (we recommend trying it at least once because it's delicious). We did the cooking program, which involves buying ingredients at the market and then cooking together. It was great to see all the flavors they add to the dishes we enjoyed afterwards. They know a contact for a safari in Wilpattu National Park and can help organize it. Regarding the accommodation, it's located on a very quiet alley. There's a kitchen available and a pleasant terrace overlooking the small garden. The rooms are well-equipped and pleasant. We recommend a stay here for a wonderful human experience. Beautifully restored villa with three lovely guest rooms. The owner has used his artistic skills to make this one of the most enchanting boutique property anywhere. The breakfasts were delicious and the location is a short tuk tuk ride to the lake, downtown and nearby restaurants. Even comes with a small pool to cool off in on those hot days. Highly recommended!

So disappointed that we booked only for one night. We would love to stay few more days. Host was the best of the best! We met so many lovely people during our trip but noone was like he was. We felt so comfortable around him. If you want to visit Kandy you should choose this place.
