We loved the location, with its easy walk to the temple and proximity to town. However, the highlight of our stay was undoubtedly Mr. Haran's exceptional hospitality. It was truly like visiting relatives.

Allens home stay situa-se em Jaffna, a 7 minutos a pé de Templo de Nallur Kandaswamy e a 1,5 km de Jaffna Railway Station. Allen, as mentioned over and over in other reviews, is the best host EVER. This kind of people makes the difference when traveling like we do, where the main goal is to enjoy the culture and people, as much as the places we visit. Allen went way beyond expectations on helping us with whatever we may need (from train schedules, arranging a great driver for a day-long tour, giving us recommendations for local places, to taking his bike and buying us some cold beers after hours, or getting up to prepare us an unusually early morning breakfast to go, due to our very early schedule), overall making us feel like his true guests despite the commercial relationship. Well-travelled, Jaffna-native but with many years in Europe, Allen is the kind of person that you hope you have more time to get to know better, and that will remain as a highlight of any trip. The property is his own home, where you rent some rooms. It is a very quiet spot in a green and shady compound in a cul-de-sac, a great respite from some of the Jaffna frenzy. Located a quick 5-min. tuk-tuk ride from the train station, it is also near the main Hindu temple of the city, a couple of blocks away. The room we rented had its own exclusive bathroom, but crossing the living room. There was another room with a full private bathroom, not available at the time. The house has a quaint feeling, very cozy and clean. The AC in the room worked fine and it was very welcomed. Breakfast was great, abundant and tasty, prepared by Allen on the spot.

I booked this place for my parents and they loved their stay at Berty’s cottage. The owners handled everything easily and the meals were arranged well. They even arranged a tuk tuk for my parents for a reasonable price to go everywhere in Jaffna. My parents were more than satisfied.

We had such a wonderful stay at Nallarun illam! My husband, two children and I shared a family room, and we had ample space and ample air conditioning. The room is off of a shared kitchen/lounge space and a balcony, which was really nice for preparing snacks and relaxing. Everything was very clean and nicely situated. The biggest highlight of this place was our wonderful hosts. The host family could not have been more gracious. We happened to be in Jaffna for the new year, and they took us under their wing, sharing their traditions (including treats, dressing, a visit to the temple and fireworks at night). Their sweet kids played with our kids and, all in all, they made us feel completely at home in this beautiful city. We're very grateful for their generosity and hospitality and would absolutely recommend this place to everyone.

Location is just perfect. Town is 2 mints walking distance. Great Villa and beautiful. Rooms are beautiful, cleaned and comfy. Helpful staff. Jaffna style foods are delicious. I really liked that the room service. The parking was easy. The food was fantastic and very fast to arrive. It is the best place to stay in Jaffna

Nallur Holidays Inn encontra-se em Jaffna, a 6 minutos a pé de Templo de Nallur Kandaswamy e a 1,9 km de Jaffna Railway Station. The location was ok close to the bus and train station and the room was fine.

D'Villa Guest House encontra-se em Jaffna, a 2 km de Jaffna Railway Station e a 2,3 km de Templo de Nallur Kandaswamy. Big room and very convenient common area with kettle & tea/coffee, fridge, tables, and nice terrace. Great location, quite area but walking distance to the main road and city centre. Nice services, with possibility of getting an abundant and tasty breakfast, laundry, and information about tours and activities. And what made the difference: Dylan was a great host, who adapted a lot to our logistic needs (including a last-minute extension), and both him, his dad, and Hilda took great care of us during our stay - Hilda took us with her on Pongal day, a Hindu celebration that took place during our stay. It was a very special day in their other guesthouse with also very kind Raj & team there, where we got to participate a lot and taste amazing food. Many thanks to all D's and team!
