The whole villa has a stunning design and is very modern, it’s of outstanding quality, and extremely clean. The walk in showers are amazing, the bathrooms, bedrooms and living area are all beautifully designed. The villa is decorated to perfection, with Sri Lankan furniture and beautiful Sri Lankan paintings. You get the entire apartment on the top floor to yourself, and there is a private entrance to the top villa and a kitchen area. This villa is very private and has a lovely swimming pool in the garden. Rosa and her daughter Zara runs this property and they are wonderful, very hospitable people, they speak English and German fluently. The breakfast was delicious, with so many different combinations of Sri Lankan and continental with plenty of fresh fruits. The location is very nice and quiet, and in walking distance to the beach. Aluthgama is just up the road and has plenty of shops, restaurants, banks/ATM a good train station, and buses that run past every 10 minute. You will also love Billy the dog, he’s such a friendly dog and a big part of Sunny Villa. I highly recommend this property it’s very good value for money.

The room is quite spacious and the bed is very large and comfortable. They have a small store on site that sells snacks and drinks for low prices. You can also order breakfast, lunch, and dinner from them, very authentic, fresh, and affordable. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure I enjoyed my stay. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Cannot say enough good things about the hosts. Some of the kindest and most genuine people I have ever met. Extremely generous family. It was a very joyful and peaceful stay, at a very affordable price.

Featuring a terrace with sea views, a private beach area and barbecue facilities, Our Little Secret can be found in Kalutara, close to Kalutara Beach and 36 km from Bambalapitiya Railway Station. With quiet street views, this accommodation offers a patio. All rooms come with a balcony with city views. Great accomodation very close to the see and the railway station. I stayed in Kalutara an visited Richmond Castle and the Bodhyia (temple) - both very interesting places and worth to visit. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and there is a little beach close to the accomodation for a short swim. Everything was great!

Sarath is the kindest host we met on our journey, and he made us feel like part of his own family. The breakfasts were simply the best of our entire trip, and the rooms were the cleanest and most well-equipped we had in Sri Lanka. We especially appreciated the large, comfortable beds, as not all double beds on the island are spacious enough for two. The villa itself has a beautiful terrace and garden, where we enjoyed watching birds and squirrels, and the peaceful location is just a few minutes’ walk from a quiet, empty beach. There are also plenty of activities nearby, such as a river safari in Bentota, an Indian restaurant, and a Buddhist shrine. We loved it so much that we extended our stay to four nights and were genuinely sad to leave.
