He always helped us with anything we needed, from checking us in early to organizing breakfast, booking activities and arranging transport. He also gave us tips for great snorkeling spots and good restaurants and made it possible for us to have rice and curry for breakfast instead of the usual choices. The hotel itself was also great. Just a few minutes from the beach and close to a variety of good restaurants. It was very clean and very well maintained. We felt very comfortable the whole 9 days we were there! It happened more than once that we met other tourists in town who were unhappy with their accommodation, but as for my boyfriend and I, we can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel!

Beautiful room and amazing staff, very friendly and helpful (helped us organizing activities, exchanging money, arranging a taxi to Yala…). The location was extremely convenient, very close to the beach and to the delicious restaurants in the area. A 2 min walk to the main road to find a Tuk Tuk to anywhere. We had a great time, great value for money!

Justin went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble and his English, cooking skills and stories are great. He’s such an asset to the business. The room was clean and comfortable with a small fridge. It’s about a 10min walk to the beach which is very popular with Sri Lankans on the weekends. Lots of small home restaurants to eat at and small shop over the road with a beautiful family running it.

Malllika is super kind and also makes the best breakfast for a great price !!… we arrived ridiculously early after a night train but she still welcomed us with coffee and place to chill before our room was ready. Very close to the beach and lots of places to eat close by. Mallika can help arrange tuk tuks, bicycles etc for the going rate with locals. Had a fabulous time here .

I would highly recommend Hilton cottage if you are looking for a quiet, pleasant stay in Trincomalee.

What’s not to love about this hotel? Our stay was perfect, and it was so hard to leave! The room was simple but spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The internet was fast and stable, allowing us to work and join Zoom meetings without any issues. There was hot water, and the location was just a tuktuk ride away from all the major sites in Trincomalee and a very short walk to the beach. The best part of our stay was our host, Praba, and his staff! They were all very welcoming, kind, and helpful. The second best part was Praba's cooking! The food was so good, much better quality than the beachfront restaurants, and reasonably priced too. The servings were huge, and everything was fresh and lovingly made! 100/10 would recommend to stay and eat most of your meals here.
