Mike and Wookie were the perfect hosts with the perfect home! We were so lucky we had the chance to stay with them and only wish we had more time. The space is fabulous, well equipped and very clean. The hot tub with the view made it so memorable. And having morning breakfast with Mike’s delicious food and Wookie keeping us company made us feel at home. If you’re lucky enough to snag an apartment here book it!

Location was excellent. I could walk into the town. It was quiet and had excellent views. The service was very personal and as a solo traveller I felt well cared for. The breakfast was excellent and hours flexible.

Situated within 1 km of Long Beach and 400 metres of Christ church, Bellrock Lodge features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Russell. This 5-star guest house offers full-day security and luggage storage space. There is a barbecue and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. We liked Bellrock Lodge and this little village so much, we even extended our stay! :) It is worth staying longer in Kororareka Russell and especially at Bellrock Lodge, so let us tell you why: Bellrock Lodge is situated on a little hill (if you walk, there are a few steep meters) and because of that, you will have the most amazing views from your terrace over the coast. On clear days you will even see as far as Waitangi. The apartment and the terrace are quite spacious, even the bathroom offers more than usual space in rental properties. It is very nice equipped. The garden is beautiful so you also see beautiful garden greenery from the terrace. The hosts Catherine and Stuart are very kind and responded fast via WhatsApp. Their sweet dog Piper was also a great host and excited to offer play time with her favorite football and such :D Catherine and Stuart were always very hospitable, so for instance, if you get in a morning rain like us, getting new towels is easy peasy, just a message/call away ;-) The Lodge offers great amendities: laundry, dryer, DVD Library (great selection, we loved it), CD and Book Library aswell... To top it off, the Whirlpool and BBQ area are great, with superb views also. We loved to enjoy the Spa, especially on rainy days. In addition to that, we highly appreciated how thoughtful everything is equipped, there are umbrellas in the driveway, wineglasses from plastic for the Spa, different chairs (even comfy reading/TV chairs), more than 2 different towel sizes and many more things like that.. We have travelled a lot and Bellrock Lodge is one of our favorites. You nearly forget, that you are at a self-service accomendation because everything is so thoughtfully done. It is worth staying longer, you can experience a lot in the area, walk to the beaches from Bellrock if you want to, get groceries and have great restaurants/cafés in town.

The property is non-smoking and is situated 4.7 km from Kemp House and Stone Store. Absolutely loved staying here , so cozy and warm. The little details make a big difference. It was pouring with rain when we got there and the host pre heated it for us can't thank you enough.

The owners' idea of sharing the history of Yellowstone National Park in the United States with guests was absolutely delightful. The enthusiasm and hospitality of the owners, ready to welcome both international and national guests with such an fascinating concept, truly touched our hearts. The tranquility and beauty of the place are incredible, just like the hosts, Nick and Julie, who took the time to make us feel like we were among friends at home. The cleanliness and design of the spaces are unmatched! The breathtaking views and the vast spaces at your disposal are a real treat for the eyes. The Lodge is located within a private park, with easy walks for everyone to enjoy. The fresh air and the relaxation in front of a real Canadian fireplace complete the day perfectly. The quality/price ratio is truly lower than what the property and the owners themselves offer. Yellowstone Lodge is simply magnificent, and it is a place that must be discovered! ________________________________________

Guests at the bed and breakfast can enjoy a continental breakfast. Exceptionally place. Wonderful room and property. Very nice owners. Very comfortable place tucked in the country side setting, but near everything you need in the town/region. Really enjoyed my stay here.

Beautiful, comfortable accommodation for two with a spectacular outlook in a beautiful and quiet location, and amazing hosting, make this one of the best accommodations we've ever enjoyed in NZ. This is a self-contained accommodation unit for two in a quiet location adjoining the host's house. The unit is new, beautifully furnished, well-appointed and very comfortable. The view overlooks Opito Bay from a height, and has a spectacular outlook into the wider Bay of Islands with outside dining and sun loungers. Alan is a generous and very thoughtful host who has created a wonderful guest experience full of detailed touches to make a comfortable, easy stay. There is a toaster, microwave and Weber BBQ, but it's worth noting is that the unit doesn't have full self-catering facilities: it lacks a hob, oven and kitchen sink. But Alan more than makes up for this - he does the washing-up, and provides a beautiful array of breakfast supplies every morning, including plenty of delicious fresh fruit. There's delightful complementary selection of cold drinks in the fridge on arrival, and an assortment of tasty snacks. It's absolutely outstanding! The location in Opito Bay is quiet, about 15 minutes from Kerikeri. There's a small network of beautiful trails through the bush around the end of the peninsula walkable from the unit, with a spectacular view at the lookout and a beautiful sheltered cove for swimming and snorkelling on the north side. The Kerikeri peninsula is a hotspot for kiwi, and we heard one close to the unit one night.
