The breakfast was simply delicious - fresh, homemade, and the perfect way to start the day. Ania also went above and beyond by giving us fantastic tips on things to do and, more importantly, what to avoid to ensure we had the best experience without falling for any tourist traps. Adding to the charm of Riva were her adorable pets a sweet dog Lucian and two lovely cats who made our stay even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a place that combines comfort, cleanliness, and genuine hospitality, this is it! Everything was perfect, and if we ever go again to Bocas we will stay here! Highly recommended!

Certain rooms have views of the sea or garden. Each room comes with a private bathroom. We totally recommend this place! The entire staff is amazing and they are doing their best to make you feel like home. We had a great time there! The food from the restaurant is the best that you can find on the island. I want to give a feedback about the room that is under the kitchen because I saw many comments about that room. We had that room and it was no issue in terms of noise. Cheers guys!

Hostal Hansi is in Bocas del Toro, 17 minutes' walk from El Istmito Beach. It is 50 meters from the docks.

The facilities are excellent, but what truly makes this place special is the warmth and hospitality of Carmen and Marcel. They went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed, always with such kindness and care. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and abundant—a perfect way to start the day. And in the evening, Carmen’s home-cooked dinners were a treat—she prepares the freshest fish of the day, and all the guests gather around the table to share a meal and great conversation. Carmen was incredibly helpful with everything, from tending to a blister on my foot to organizing day trips. This stay was more than just accommodation—it was a truly memorable experience. I can’t recommend it enough!

The house includes 4 rooms on the 2nd floor. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom with shower and warm water. Rooms on the ground floor share an outdoor warm water shower and bathroom. Facilities include a living room, dining room, kitchen and a terrace. Incredible beauty and peaceful surroundings. Wonderful family atmosphere.

The remoteness of the place, the piece that one can find there, the nature/wildlife (we saw sloth right next to the path), the food, the attentiveness of the hosts, the build/decoration and surroundings - everything was done in the traditional style. Not only was the Dolphin Bay Hideaway the most beautiful location we have stayed at in Bocas del Toro, but Brian and his team were also the most welcoming and attentive hosts we have met during our travels. The scenery is breathtaking, surrounded by rich nature and abundant wildlife, and the food was simply outstanding. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches—like early morning coffee, the relaxed atmosphere of just spending time at the Hideaway, and the freedom to shape each day as we wished. Brian is a truly remarkable host: knowledgeable, generous with his time, always ready for a friendly chat, yet never intrusive. We left feeling not only rested and inspired, but also deeply grateful for such an unforgettable experience.
