The 2 rooms are self catering but for a small price a very tasty continental breakfast is available. Our ‘room’ consisted of a huge bedroom with very comfortable super king bed leading to modern fully equipped bathroom with wonderfully powerful shower. There is also a sitting room and further twin bedroom upstairs. Outside is a salt pool, expanse of grassy area (good place for breakfast) with shady trees. There is also a very well equipped shared kitchen for both rooms. Wonderful place, we had a great time. Thank you.

Two weary cyclists arrived for one night. We were delighted! Ines—one of the owners— is warm and welcoming. Our room was splendid—comfortable, lovely, overlooking the beautiful pool. Breakfast was perfect—obrigado Patricia! We liked this beautiful Solar ( a former school where Ines was a schoolgirl—how cool!) so much that we stayed one more night! My friend left for work in Lisboa and I stayed for a third night! One night turned into three because it is so delightful! I have cycled 94,000+km around the world and have stayed at well over 1000+ hotels around the world on every continent except Antarctica—Solar Dos Frades is one of the best! Obrigado Ines! It was kept as true to the original as possible but with the modern comforts such as wonderful hot shower and super comfortable mattress.

Cuba Real ligger i Cuba, 49 km fra Alqueva-dæmningen og 20 km fra Castelo de Beja. Her er gratis wi-fi, aircondition, en udendørs swimmingpool og en have. Lovely sized room on the ground floor with large bathroom, queen bed and excellent mattress. Access at anytime. Pool was clean and located centrally. Building itself was traditionally Portuguese and the owners did a great job refurbishing it to a high standard. Loved the place. Will definitely stay there again. Highly recommended!!!
