Casa Kala is a real gem, very close to all amenities and restaurants close by, but by far the most outstanding was Frank the Manager, who responded to our requests not only positively but also with ease, it is very rare to have accommodation these days with such an enthusiastic management. We had a number of requests on arrival and he personally took care of all of them. Also he supervised the breakfast each day and arranged a breakfast box on the day we were touring early.

You don't have the impression that you're in an hotel as it is an old renovated house with a superb staircase. It is situated just outside the old center but in 5 minutes reachable on foot. So not far from the touristic part of the city but you have the fealing that you live in Porto as the hotel is located in an area inhabited by locals.

The property has city and quiet street views, and is 500 metres from Sao Bento Metro Station. The accommodation provides luggage storage space and private check-in and check-out for guests. Very nice place. Centrally located. Nice area. Great street / city view. Easy access. Good communication. Small, but all one needs.

Supermarket right across the street had great meats and other items to cook in the hostel. We prepared a nice spaghetti with meatball in the kitchen as it was a Sunday and everything was closed. The lady who checked us in was very kind and personable, and she went out of her way to explain places to shop and idiosyncrasies of the property. Right on the Beach and steps from El Camino!

Porto Airport is 26 km from the property. Everything! Antionio is a great host himself, the apartment is pristine quality, ultra clean, just by the ocean! The restaurant he runs.. oh TOP! (And the Olives :) )
