Bit of a cool reception on arrival . The restaurant bar wasn't open but we managed to find a lovely friendly restaurant. The following day it was different staff and they were very friendly and helpful. It was a lovely boutique hotel and very clean. I would definitely go again and would recommend.

Monarch house is a very nice boutique hotel. The cleanliness is exceptional in the room and the bed is comfy. You have an option to park your car across the street, it's a big plus. You have a complimentary coffee and croissant in the morning. The man on reception was very nice and useful.

Room was super clean, fridge in the room, at ground level they have a really nice place to eat/cook + amenities for kids in the courtyard.

The staff were really very friendly and helpful. Outstanding customer service. The food in the restaurant was delicious. The hotel is located a short walk away from the old town. Bed was comfortable, bathroom large and water hot. WiFi worked. Was a good choice.

We stayed in the Gold Room after arriving very early in the morning. We had very clear instructions on how to gain access to the property & where the room was. After enduring a near 24 hour day, to find the room was a complete joy. The bed was more comfortable than our own & we slept like babies. This property is immaculate, close to the Piata Mare but very quiet. The garden is charming and the hosts were so, so friendly & helpful. Our only wish was to have stayed longer, but we are very much looking forward to returning at the end of our holiday for our last night before we fly home. The self check-in was a life saver since I actually arrived only at 3am and was worried that somebody would have to wait up for me. The instructions were very precise and I was able to get into my room without any difficulty even at this late hour. There is a nice outdoor terrace. Great room, very clean, the whole hotel seems very well-managed. No more than 10 minute walk to the historical center. Free parking available. Recommended! Would stay again.

The location up on the hill is exceptional for the city view. Very good restaurant, accommodated vegan preferences and very tasty meals. All my friends visited and enjoyed the restaurant and terrace view. Very diverse breakfast, nicely decorated restaurant, amenities and premises, oleanders and flowers. There is also a special outside large area available for events, a beautiful green scenery, orchard, song birds and hares. The room was large, very clean, excellent bed and pillows, duvet, modern bathroom and shower.
