Easy to reach, very convenient on our road trip to some more remote Serbian monasteries. Lots of parking. Nice view from the balcony of the restaurant. Good food in very large portions (larger than anything we encountered during our whole trip). No airco, but the rooms are downstairs and don’t have direct sun, so pleasant even during heat wave. Staff was friendly and communication worked well enough. Would stay here again when in the area (there are very few options and this worked well enough).

They arranged everything seamlessly for my journey from Belgrade Airport to Kopaonik, ensuring I had no worries at all. Their kindness and care truly felt like being with family. One unforgettable moment was when Zajda threw water behind me for good luck—something so unique and thoughtful that it brought a smile to my face before my race. The food? Simply amazing. But what made it even better was the cook, whose talent and warmth elevated every meal. And I can’t forget the sweetest waiter who made dining such a pleasant experience. The vibe of this place is magical guests and visitors alike were so friendly with one another that it felt like a close-knit community. It was my first time in Serbia, and I felt like I was home. A special thank you to Zadja and her husband, who personally drove me to the mountain every morning for my snowboarding sessions and picked me up in the evening. Their generosity and effort were truly unparalleled. If you’re ever in Kopaonik, I highly recommend visiting Backcountry Kopaonik. It’s not just a place to stay it’s an experience that will make you want to return again and again. Believe me, once you stay here, it will become your permanent go-to spot in Kopaonik.
