We had the entire place to ourselves during low season but they didn't skimp on anything. I cannot say enough good things about everything from the room to the cellar tour to the fresh made warm croissants at breakfast. It was perfect.

Smartno village and the Aldila Art Rooms is an absolutely stunning location. The actual hotel only has a few rooms but they are very well done and stylish. The location is really special and it's very small which makes it feel even more personalised. So gorgeous.

The views of the wineries in the region from the pool and restaurants were amazing. The Bužinel Rebula wine was our favourite from a few of the different wineries that we tried. The whole operation is a small family run business and it was great getting to know a few of the hosts as they were so friendly. Both restaurants Bužinel Bistro and Tavarneta had amazing food and wine. The breakfast at Tavarneta was an amazing way to start the day

Sometimes in life you stumble across the most wonderful experiences, this was one of them! Bernada and her family were the most beautiful hosts. Our stay started with a glass of wine (their own lovely wine) and a warm conversation with 3 generations of the family. Their renovation of the property has been done beautifully, keeping the age of the building visible while making a very comfortable, modern space. The room was lovely, the best sheets I've ever slept in. We had a beautiful view out our window. Breakfast was plentiful and good. Bernada made an excellent dinner suggestion and booked for us. Everything was perfect, displaying our hosts warmth and generosity.
