P.Y. Guest House is 200 meres from JEATH War Museum. It offers air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi and free drinking water. The guesthouse has very nice and original decor decor and furnishings and the rooms are very nice and comfortable. It is also within walking distance of both the bus and minivan station and the train station (although the latter is half an hour's walk away). The owner - a local woman - is very helpful and forthcoming, and she's also one of few communicative Thais with a genuine interest in foreigners that I came across on my two trips to Thailand: once I even asked her to call a bike rental shop to let them know that I would return the bicycle I was renting from them later than agreed, as unfortunately I cannot speak Thai, and she kindly obliged. Not to mention that her husband was twice kind enough to give me and other guests a ride to the minivan and bus station so that I did not have to pay for a tuk tuk.

I had a superb experience at Villa Scenns! The place is very easy to find, accommodates for parking your own vehicle, and is only a 20 min walk from the Mon Bridge. The owner is among the nicest host I have ever stayed at, with a plethora of knowledge about the area and is very keen to chat it up. This was BY FAR my most cherished stay and experience in Thailand and I look forward to come back. HIGHLY recommended!

Grounds are beautiful and our accommodation was spacious and perfect for our large family. The tranquil evenings having a beer on the deck were perfect. The owners were amazing. Yve and Dieng could not be more kind and helpful. They helped with local attraction suggestions including restaurants. Breakfast was delicious and We all felt at home in this oasis. One of our favorite places to stay.

The care taker of the facility was amazing, she has a lot of heart for the guests. One night she saw me walking down the street in the rain and ran all the way over to give me an umbrella. She always made sure I had fresh towels and water and as a female solo traveler I have never felt more safe and happy than I did here.

Great little bungalow near to mon bridge , room really good , has everything needed for a really nice comfortable stay , lady owner really nice and kind, if you are visiting this area definitely recommend a stay here

Situated within 1.8 km of The Bridge of the River Kwai and 2.1 km of The Jeath War Museum, Siam Guesthouse provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Kanchanaburi. Location was great, very close to train station, restaurants and bars (easy walking distance). From the bus station it was a bit of a longer walk but we didn’t mind as it was a pleasant walk next to the river. The owner was so nice and incredibly helpful - from renting a motor bike, helping us get the bus to Arawan or simply offering some watermelon for breakfast! Thank you so much, we highly recommend!
