We really loved the place and the atmosphere that owners created here. Amazingly designed! Staff was very helpuful and friendly. Perfect place to relax by the pool or play Bao (local game) in the evening. Very testy breakfast.

Our host, Dorice, was super kind and very attentive to our happiness during the stay. The room is very nice and objectively a really good value for money. I also liked that we could have as much water as we wanted ( on a refillable bottle, so no plastic waste) Breakfast was also tasty and abundant

The highlight of my stay was the owner, Zuzana, and her wonderful team. Zuzana is an incredible host, meticulously attending to every detail from check-in to check-out. Her thoughtfulness shone through in the valuable recommendations she provided for restaurants, local attractions, and tours. She’s not only helpful but also genuinely lovely to interact with. I stayed in Room 2 for nine days, and it exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed with everything I needed. Each room comes with its own outdoor seating area (or a balcony if you're upstairs), complete with a convenient clothesline for drying beachwear—a small detail that made a big difference. As a solo traveler, I felt very safe in the area, and the beach is just a quick 1-2 minute walk away. The breakfast was delicious, featuring fresh fruit, juice, eggs, local bread, tea, coffee, and even local porridge. It was always a great way to start the day and have a nice conversation with the staff. A special shout-out to Barack, who, like the rest of the staff, greeted me with a warm smile every day. One particularly memorable gesture was when I burned my arm and Zuzana generously provided medication and cream, even coming to my aid late at night. She also offered to change up the breakfast menu to keep things interesting, though I was more than happy with the daily spread. Lastly, Zuzana arranged for my airport pick-up with a fantastic driver named Salim, which made my arrival smooth and stress-free. In short, I can’t recommend this place enough—it's a hidden gem in Nungwi. I wish all the best to the team.

MITI is a beautiful small bungalow resort very convenient located to the beach, being only a 3-5 minute walk away. The staff is so friendly and always ready to make your stay even more perfect. The restaurant has great food too, I even went back twice on a different occasion even though I wasn’t staying there. The grilled shrimps, chicken fajita and chicken wrap is a must! The bed is comfortable and big, the shower is great and there’s a hairdryer and a fridge in the room. They even do a second “clean up” in the room in the afternoon to make the bed, prepare the mosquito net and spray mosquito spray. Also has a very cheap airport taxi service for only 40$.

Situated in Matemwe Kilimajuu, 100 metres from the beach, Kiganja provides an outdoor pool and air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. Very well thought out property with everything you could possible need. Georgia and Daniel the owners are on sight to help you will anything that you need. The property in a 2min walk from what is probably one of my now favorite beaches in zanzibar. It's of the tourist track so nice a quiet but has a few other properties you can have meals at. The property can arrange everything that you need from transfers to tours. Highly recommend this property. The staff are some of the best trained staff I've met in Zanzibar. The restaurant food was really good and I actually had nearly all my meals there.

Situated on a private sand beach overlooking the Indian Ocean, Zanzibar House in Matemwe features a swimming pool and bar. Scuba diving and snorkeling opportunities are also available. The breakfast was plentiful, a buffet and you can order from the menu as well. The food in the restaurant was delicious! Had an incredible seafood risotto. This place is magical, artistically decorated, beautiful rooms & right on the gorgeous beach. The staff was so kind and accommodating. Francesco made sure I had everything I needed. Zanzibar House was a true oasis of peace & relaxation.

Beautiful location with a pool, 2 min from a beautiful beach. The place was calm and the staff was verry helpful and welcoming. The room was cleaned every day.The food was also verry good. The owners were very nice, definitly recommend.
