Aside from the astectics, the property is designed with guest comfort in mind. Dimable lights, amazing rain shower, big thick comfy towels, the bagels for breakfast are from a bakery in Woodstock I believe and the overnight oats are delicious. I don't think the owner has cut corners on providing a luxury stay.

I came up from Connecticut for some me time and to see a concert at Bethel Woods. Although I ate out most of my stay, I liked that I had everything at my fingertips to prepare and make whatever I wanted. I loved the fireplace and my view. The bed was sooo comfortable too. I have recommended this place to several family members and friends too.

We had a marvelous 4 day (3 night) stay. I highly recommend the Herwood Inn!

I loved the rustic charm. The property was very historic and stayed true to the history. There was beautiful artwork on the walls and beautiful antique furniture everywhere, including the rooms. There are no TVs in the rooms which, to me, was what I was looking for. They had board games, a big common table to eat at and a bar run on very informally. I felt like I was visiting family.

The location, the extremely comfortable king size bed that was amazing, as was the en suite. Brendan is a great host and very helpful, would highly recommend staying here and make sure you arrive early enough to take advantage of the great view from the porch. The property is unique and full of amazing features.
