Aside from the astectics, the property is designed with guest comfort in mind. Dimable lights, amazing rain shower, big thick comfy towels, the bagels for breakfast are from a bakery in Woodstock I believe and the overnight oats are delicious. I don't think the owner has cut corners on providing a luxury stay.

I had a really great stay at Hotel Mountain Brook in Tannersville. The hotel is cozy, clean, and has a warm, welcoming feel. The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was very well taken care of. Breakfast was especially good — fresh, tasty, and a nice way to start the day. The dining area had a great atmosphere, and the food felt homemade and thoughtful. The location is beautiful and peaceful, close to hiking and Hunter Mountain. It’s also just a short drive into the little town of Tannersville. Overall, I really enjoyed my time here and would definitely come back. Highly recommend!

The property was very historic and stayed true to the history. There was beautiful artwork on the walls and beautiful antique furniture everywhere, including the rooms. There are no TVs in the rooms which, to me, was what I was looking for. They had board games, a big common table to eat at and a bar run on very informally. I felt like I was visiting family.

The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming and gracious. We felt very comfortable, like going home. The breakfast and coffee were delicious and plentiful. The location was great.
