Sleeping on a boat! What's there not to like?
The boat lies in a calm neighbourhood not far (10-15 minute walk) from Dresden Neustadt station. Friendly staff called us to ask at what time we would arrive, and as we were later than hoped left our keys in a box. Rooms are not big and really meant for sleeping.
The shared shower gets hot enough.

In my home city of Prague, a boat-hotel was located just 500 metres from my childhood home. It dascinated me, but there was no reason to book it there. So when I was looking for cheap accomodation for one night in Dresden, Pöpellmann realy caught my eye!
The room is tiny, but that is to be expected. Toilets and showers are clean, it's nice and quiet hotel and the staff is friendly. Breakfast bar is well-equipped and the food is tasty. See you next time!

Special experience on the boat. Cosy little room with the Haribo as small gift. The staff is soooooo nice that he helped me with struggling to find some coins for breakfast. Breakfast was pretty great!!!

The staff at the hotel were so friendly and helpful. Staying on a boat was so cool! The room was small but very cozy with your own sink and radiator in the room.
