We enjoyed a restful backwaters tour in the company of another couple and of our lovely pilot who indicated birds and plants and chef who cooked delicious lunch, dinner and breakfast. The staff also helped getting to the boat.

Amazing experience on this houseboat. Breathtaking journey through the backwaters. We weren’t sure what to expect as it’s not that clearly explained when you book. You leave Alleppey and travel along backwaters and stay overnight moored near a village but you stay on the boat. We were offered a trip to a market but it was raining. So we didn’t go. It’s so relaxing and I would say this a must do experience. The crew are nice very quiet and not intrusive. Excellent food. Lunch and dinner which is extra but very reasonable. Boat is luxurious and you are very well looked after. The scenery is out of this world. I would highly recommend. Nothing is too much trouble. When we arrived we mentioned to our host we would like beers. He immediately sent someone to buy beers and tonic water for our gin 😀so that was our sunset drinks arranged.

MAHARANI - Beautiful traditional style boat in a peaceful location with local life to view whilst cruising. The ‘Captain’ Manoj and his assistant Geethu together with our chef and Adie who waited on us all day were amazing. We got off the boat and purchased tiger prawns and calamari from the locals en route and our chef cooked these to perfection together with a total ‘banquet’ of delicious local dishes. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Pure decadence and excellent value. Lastly a huge thank you to Alush M (Front office manager) who organised us from instructions to finding the resort to offering us all the services the resort has to offer and ensuring our stay was perfect. Highly recommend this trip!
