We loved our stay at Encanto do pai and Aracatiba. Fernanda is a great host, you really feel at home in her suite. She is full of kindness and good recommendation to visit this part of the island and the beaches all around. It is recommended to talk with her prior to reserve (be careful not to book at Abrao that is 1h far by boat and 400 rls). Rooms have charming view to the sea and to the forest at the back. Breakfast have fresh fruit and home made cake every day. Aracatiba is a quiet and charming fisherman village of ilha grande , ideal to relax and take good time. Fernanda helped us to organize then a boat transfer directly to Paraty that was a pleasant option to stop in the paraty islands. Best restaurants tried : Seafood, Conves and Villa ara.

Pousada Fauna is truly magical. The location, the food, the sunsets, the host Natalia, everything is amazing. We were 5 people for 3 nights during early August. It felt like we were the only people on the whole bay of Bananal. There are plenty of amazing restaurants nearby, hikes in the jungle, boat trips (also for snorkeling) available and suggested by Natalia. I spent one day doing stand up paddling and seeing countless star fish very close to Fauna. The breakfast is a dream. The rooms are great, every detail is very curated and just so beautiful. Many beatiful little dogs and cats (and sometimes little monkeys) come visit the pousada every day.

Casa de Temporada Ceu e Mar is in a beautiful location, right on the beach and surrounded by nature. The view is amazing. The house is very clean and comes with linen and towels for every guest, WiFi works great, you will have everything you need for your stay. There is also a volleyball field for you to have fun with your loved ones. The hosts are incredibly nice people, very flexible too. If you want to go visit the nearest village you can, they will accompany you by boat for a small price. Overall, highly recommended!

    A beautiful, unique hotel accessible only by an efficient boat service from Angra dos Reis. Host family are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast and dinner both excellent. Many great choices at breakfast. Location is peaceful, views are beautiful. The little village of Praia Vermelha (accesible by footpath) is charming and has a few excellent restaurant/cafes. There are other lovely beaches accessible by foot or by "taxi-boat". No traffic noise -- only the sound of waves and the songs of birds.
