I almost hesitate to write a review as I fear my words will not be able to do it justice. My boyfriend and I booked The Hazelhouse for a little weekend getaway and although from previous reviews we had high expectations, nothing could prepare us for just how truly wonderful it was. Minke was without a doubt the best host we have ever had, the attention to detail and care that she puts into ensuring a positive stay is out of this world. The room we stayed, the living room and bathroom are all large, so well taken care of and breathtakingly beautiful. The breakfast each morning was on par with any fancy restaurant with the most beautiful setting overlooking the mountains, river and fireplace. Our biggest takeaway from the whole trip though, was just how much Minke loves what she does, I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone so passionate about being a BnB host and it truly shows in the quality of the stay, everywhere was spotless, decorated perfectly and was made to make our stay as comfortable as possible. This heritage home is an absolute must stay and I will be telling everyone who will listen that they must go and experience it.

Kristy and Roy were wonderful hosts providing gourmet brunches each day and fresh baked goods each afternoon. Our beds were comfortable with a lounge area in our room and verandah seating. There was a room with a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and snacks. We even had fresh cut flowers in our room and a welcome gift pack! This B&B is truly excellent.

The house was perfect for our family. Spread out areas, we never felt "on top" of each other. The kitchen is well stocked...although we did not actually cook. The house is beautiful and the hot tub is a nice relaxing feature. The views of the valley and mountains were incredible. Since our purpose for booking was a family wedding, we were out every night with events but wished we could have spent more time at the house.
