We had the absolute best time at Casa Fery! It was like stepping into your favorite aunt's house, complete with all the warm and fuzzy feelings. The hosts were a total delight, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The Airbnb itself was an absolute gem, filled with cozy vibes and thoughtful touches that showed they really knew how to pamper their travelers. Chatting with the hosts was a highlight of our stay. They're the kind of lovely people who genuinely care about their guests, making sure we had everything we needed to have a blast. And let's talk about the location – perfecto! We're not fans of being in the thick of touristy hustle-bustle, so Casa Fery's spot up on the hill was a dream come true. The views were stunning, and the serenity was exactly what we needed to unwind. Okay, we have to confess – the first time we tackled that driveway, we were like, "Whoa, this is an adventure!" It takes a little finesse to handle that sharp right turn and steep slope, but after the second try, we felt like seasoned pros. Embrace the challenge, and you'll be conquering it like a local in no time! The only thing we regret is that we only stayed for two days. There's so much more to explore in the surrounding areas, and we're itching to get back ASAP! Casa Frey has definitely left a mark on our hearts, and we can't wait for our next unforgettable vacation there. So, if you're looking for a magical vacation rental that feels like home sweet home (with a sprinkle of fairy dust), Casa Fery is where it's at. This classic Italianate villa was really beautifully restored, very comfortable and with excellent amenities. The modern kitchen was very useful - apparently shared but we saw no one else! Great views from the room and huge wonderful balcony/terrace. Handy for the railway and buses. We loved it!

Rita and Giuseppe are truly exceptional hosts—warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. Their hospitality is second to none, combining professionalism with genuine care. The hotel’s location is superb, just a few meters from the lake and surrounded by shops, cafés, restaurants, a supermarket, and a pharmacy. It’s also within walking distance (about 3.5 km) from Locarno. The village itself offers a wonderfully relaxing ambiance, making it an ideal place to unwind. Don't let the name put you off. There is a small, tidy butcher shop on the ground floor but most of the multi-story house has been turned into a B&B, including a spacious breakfast room and a lovely outdoor patio with lots of seating and potted plants. The room was tastefully painted with a soothing sage green, and the hallways and common areas are decorated with antique books and various shop paraphernalia, such as an old cash register, to add visual interest. The breakfast was very tasty, with freshly made fruit salad and local cheeses and meats. The hostess is dedicated to the hotel and her guests. Entrance is easy after hours with the lockbox. Outside, there's a small passage that will lead you to the other side of the tracks, so you can reach the lakeside promenade in less than five minutes.

We loved our stay here. Our room had a large balcony, with a view down to the lake. Breakfast was very good - plenty of choice. Our host was easily contactable, and friendly. Rooms were clean and spacious. There is a bus stop right outside the property if you didn't want to walk up the short hill, but we mostly walked.

This place was very comfortable with beautiful views! It was rainy part of the time but we had plenty of room for the four of us, with a comfortable couch in the living room and a table to play cards. The view from the deck, which also had a table, was amazing. Helpful hosts downstairs. We took the bus from the train station and then figured out which steps (not a huge amount) to walk up and our host saw us and gave us the keys and a tour. Cooked a basic dinner one night in the kitchen. It was nice to have the coffee machine and pods there, as it made excellent coffees. Also a nice selection of teas.
