Rita and Giuseppe are truly exceptional hosts—warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. Their hospitality is second to none, combining professionalism with genuine care. The hotel’s location is superb, just a few meters from the lake and surrounded by shops, cafés, restaurants, a supermarket, and a pharmacy. It’s also within walking distance (about 3.5 km) from Locarno. The village itself offers a wonderfully relaxing ambiance, making it an ideal place to unwind. Breakfast is elegant and delicious, featuring fresh seasonal fruits and a thoughtful selection of options. Don't let the name put you off. There is a small, tidy butcher shop on the ground floor but most of the multi-story house has been turned into a B&B, including a spacious breakfast room and a lovely outdoor patio with lots of seating and potted plants. The room was tastefully painted with a soothing sage green, and the hallways and common areas are decorated with antique books and various shop paraphernalia, such as an old cash register, to add visual interest. The breakfast was very tasty, with freshly made fruit salad and local cheeses and meats. The hostess is dedicated to the hotel and her guests. Entrance is easy after hours with the lockbox. Outside, there's a small passage that will lead you to the other side of the tracks, so you can reach the lakeside promenade in less than five minutes.

Wanda was a very nice host. Very easy to contact. Responded quickly when we send a message. We were participating Swissman Extreme Triathlon. And for us as a team it was a perfect place to stay. Not cheap but worth the money. It was calm, 1km to the T1 and registration, excellent airco and it was super clean. If I would ever race Swissman again I would book the place without any hesitation.

We loved our stay here. Our room had a large balcony, with a view down to the lake. Breakfast was very good - plenty of choice. Our host was easily contactable, and friendly. Rooms were clean and spacious. There is a bus stop right outside the property if you didn't want to walk up the short hill, but we mostly walked.

The welcome, hospitality, location, facilities, cleanliness, quietness, tranqiility, view and the sound of the little mountain stream outside the window.. The photos are a true reflection. The owner collected me from the train and provided useful intormation explained bus routes etc. Nearest stop and mini market within 150m. Madonna del Sasso and Gondola Station a short walk away. I would highly recommend.
