Our chalet was located in the middle of the jungle. Lot of birds around, which we love. The location was close enough to town, but far enough away for peace and quiet.

The owners were very nice and accommodating to all our needs. The breakfast was very delicious with locally sourced foods. The pool area and large jacuzzi was great and the landscaping, including the jungle walk on the property gave us the real costa rica feeling. The bungalows we stayed in were beautifully done and had a large bathroom. Even though we only stayed for a night we would definitely recommend anyone to stay here.

The lodge is at very good location since it only took about 10 minutes to the entrance for Cataract Rio Celeste. We arrived late but the owner Francisco waited for us outside of his house with a very warm smile. The lodge is equipped with everything we needed, and the view is very spectacular. Francisco also put some banana on racks in front of our balcony so we could watch colorful birds flying over to eat. We only regretted that one night stay is not enough to take advantage of what the lodge can offer, so it is better to stay longer. The owner also recommended a very good restaurant nearby, so we enjoyed the grilled steak very much! The location is close to Bijagua de Upala where is only 6 minutes smooth driving away. We found more restaurants and grocery shopping there. We are happy we didn't choose to stay at any hotel near the park (Cataract Rio Celeste) where is crowded and less quiet.

The Bitzu dome is one of the most unique places I’ve ever stayed. The dome itself is spacious and comfortable with all of the necessities right there. The host Alex is a very nice guy and very responsive and helpful. He worked with me through some traveling troubles due to a tropical storm and helped me out a lot. I can’t thank him enough for his hospitality. I highly recommend the Bitzu dome and Bijagua in general if you want to be somewhere a little less touristy and truly get to appreciate the Costa Rican Culture.

Breakfast was fantastic and very generous. Our host was very kind and knowledgeable, it was a pleasure chatting with Eliette. We absolutely loved having so much nature on our doorstep. We spent a lot of time on our balcony with our children, taking it slow and enjoying life :) There is a lot to do near Bijagua, despite what people say. We stayed 3 nights and would have enjoyed an extra one at least !

nice private house that felt like a cabin. there was a garden out front with red blue Jean frogs hopping around. also heard howler monkeys in the morning and at night. everyone was super helpful and friendly.

    Truly a hidden gem. these cabins are tucked away on the outskirts of a Costa Rican village. You are secluded, yet feel as though you’re part of the everyday fabric of life. The cabins are comfortable and cute. The hosts are a family who are delighted to share their property. We loved our stay. If you’re looking for a hotel near Rio Celeste, this is it!!!
