The location is easy to get to to. The staff were eager to help. The food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced. The beach was beautiful and the "tiki hut" shade was very welcomed.

Amazing location across from the beach in a quieter part of town, but a very easy walk or short tuk tuk ride to the bars and restaurants in town. The staff was top notch, rooms were comfortable and well maintained w AC and the food was great. Couldn't recommend any higher. Best place to stay in Puerto Lopez by far and the staff couldn't be any friendlier or more hospitable

Beautifully decorated room with extremely comfortable beds and a fabulous shower with great pressure and plenty of hot water. Rooms has quality fixtures and had been done to a higher standard than we've often found in Ecuador with lots of nice little touches. There is also a gorgeous shaded terrace upstairs which is ideal for lazing and relaxing or playing games. Breakfast varied each day we were there but had great coffee (latte, cappuccino, etc.), juice, fresh fruit, eggs and pancakes, Bollas or a kind of cake made of potato and perhaps bacon. Don't know for sure, but they were great. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, happy to give advice or help. Room was cleaned daily. Enjoyed the quiet location far enough from the bars to be quiet at night and close enough to be there in minutes. Close to a quieter beautiful stretch of beach for relaxing, although we heard there may be rip tides there. FYI, if you wish to pay via credit card, they use Tab, an external app. You will be sent an email, and you click on a link and pay. The app charges a flat $1 plus 2.99%, which is far lower than what most places charge. Alternatively you can pay by cash, although they do require the first day up front.

It was quiet, clean, cozy and well organized. The owner and staff were very invested in making sure everything was going well with my stay. you can hear the ocean from the room, even with the a/c on.

It was really close to the beach, and the owner was so sweet. There was a rooftop terrace with hammocks and chairs from which you could see the ocean, and it was a beautiful view. Furthermore, the room was very nice, with its own bathroom, fridge, and cooking area.

Maria & Osvaldo immediately welcomed me in with kindness and helped me book a whale watching tour for the following day. The place is very clean with comfortable beds, pillows and hot water in the shower. It’s in a good location with a view of the wate, just a ten minute walk from the town. There are also plenty of moto taxis nearby to go wherever you need if you don’t want to walk. Their place is very secure, always locked but they open up quickly when you return. The breakfast is simple but good, one egg with toast, juice or fruit, coffee or tea. There is also a communal kitchen. Most importantly, when I got really sea sick from the tour to Isla de la plata, I asked Maria for water and toast and she kindly made me hot tea, toast and lovingly sat with me until I began to feel better. Her and her husband are really good, kind people and I highly recommend staying here when in Puerto Lopez. Osvaldo has great sense of humor :) They also offer laundry service if you need. You can also communicate with them directly via WhatsApp which is helpful.
