Very good little flat right next to the castle. Location was very quiet. Room was spacious and clean. There is a washing machine, kitchen with microwave, oven, stovetop and fridge. There are dishes, cutlery and things to cook with. Shower was good. Easy check in.

The apartment is lovely, beautifully and efficiently decorated. We found everything we needed! Ana was a great host and gave us lots of useful tips. When we had the only problem with the lock on one of the doors, she was very responsive and solved the problem in less than an hour!

This is a homestay in a remote part of the El Bierzo although it is a short drive to Ponferrada. The house was lovely and just what we needed for a restful stay. It is a very well-equipped house with a separate barbeque area by the little brook. There is parking for a car. The lovely balcony is great for people watching and watching the world go by with a book. There are walks from the house. We were met with the keys and it was easy to keep in contact with the owners through Whats App. The owner kindly left us a bottle of local wine. There is a co-operative bakery in the village - we had freshly baked bread every evening! We had a lovely stay.

I cannot speak highly enough of the incredibly hospitable owners of Hostal El Horno/ Hostal Casa San Nicolas in Molinaseca, Jose and Mara. During my two-day stay at their charming establishment, I had the opportunity to rest and recover from a taxing descent from El Acebo that left my ankles swollen. The location of the casa is superb, and upon my arrival, I was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade, which included a larger bed and a breathtaking view. The room was very clean, and I was treated to a delightful breakfast each morning. In addition to their warm hospitality, Jose and Mara also prepared a traditional Brazilian meal for their guests, showcasing their dedication to providing an exceptional experience. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend Hostal El Horno / Hostal Casa San Nicolas for its outstanding hosts and memorable stay.
