Lomatärppi is one of the best places one can find! The cottage is amazingly arranged: you have everything you need: fully equipped kitchen, fireplace, sauna, all is very clean and cozy (decorations deserve a special mention!) Juha is a very considering and supportive host, whenever we needed something, he was there to help! He also picked us up in Utsjoki to give us a ride to the cottage from Utsjoki bus station and back when we left, this was really nice and appreciated! As for the location - our cottage was located right in front of the river which is a natural boarder to Norway, the mountain view is really beautiful and impressive. Nearby (3 min walk) there is a restaurant, so you can always go there for a nice dinner. On the territory of the accommodation there is a Northern Lights Tower, which is a place where all tour guides bring their guests. This gives a special mention - you don’t need to book additional tours to see the Lights, everything you need is right here! Juha has also arranged a shelter for 2 baby reindeers, they will not live there all the time, but it was amazing to see how well cared they are. We stayed here in March. Utsjoki is stunning and this property is very comfortable, clean and has great views. Unbelievably gorgeous place. The staff is super helpful too. A special call out to Ilka and Issac for really good conversations and experiences.

Very small but CUTE room with own private bathroom: I like it very much! The tiny kitcjen had absolutely everything, from pans till cups. The window view is splendid. Forest nearby is full of berries and mushrooms; also there is a path down to the river, where one can enjoy the nature.

We loved loved that we got to have our own private flowing waterfront, wooden sauna, and the grassy clearing where I could just lay down and forget about everything. The hosts are very kind and everything in the cottage has been placed with care and attention to detail. We were also lucky to have really good weather! I wish we could stay longer :)
