Shoe dryer 😍 The common area is great although very crowded in the evenings. The kitchen is very well equipped and pretty spacious, so it was actually possible to cook (comfortably) simultaneously with other people. I was positively surprised by the bathrooms and showers - exceptionally clean and cosy. Also, the owner is great - very kind and sweet soul with great tips about Faroe Islands and always ready to help out or just chat.

The Boathouse at Hosvik is located at the end of a nondescript turn towards the water once you enter the town of Hosvik. Parking is either at the waterfront or beside a building used by a rowing club. The balcony of the boathouse offers awesome views of the fjord-like scene - especially in the early mornings! Kitchen is well equipped and we made quite the feast which was well accommodated on the large dining table. The loft area was very fun and quirky! Love the nautical themes incorporated in the furnishing.

One of the most incredible stays we’ve ever had. Highlight as everyone has mentioned is that gorgeous glass enclosed area looking out onto the fjord, it was so serene having ou tea and brekky there in the mornings. Fireplace was cosy and the heating throughout the house is strong. The place is massive. Unbelievably well stocked, the host had thought of everything, including power boards. Big bathroom, kitchen and bedrooms. Great shower and pressure. Super comfy mattresses. Kitchen had everything and more that you could need. Location was great for us as a central base to drive to places on the north and south islands. Washing machine with dry rack was a bonus for all our sweaty hiking clothes. We absolutely cannot fault this place. And it was extremely well priced for the Faroe Islands. If you’re deciding between this or other accommodation options let me save you time and tell you to book this right now. You will NOT regret it.

    Lovely place in a small village near the airport. The house is well equipped and the owners even let us check in a bit earlier. Lots of essentials, such as salt, pepper, oil, coffee and many others were provided. Free parking right in front of the house. We stayed there for 1 night on a rainy day in July 2024 and really enjoyed it.

    We had an absolutely fantastic time at this cozy holiday house! The amenities were superb, and the highlight was definitely the wonderful jacuzzi—a perfect way to relax after a hiking trip. Perfect to explore the Vagar island. The host was incredibly attentive and friendly, always ensuring we had everything we needed. The charming decor and warm ambiance made it a truly memorable stay.

    We enjoyed nice view of harbour and Mydvagur village of our appartment every morning. We also appreciated the equipment, including all the necessary stuff for basic cooking, as well as other things, such as cleaning utensils, or soap and hair dryer in the bathroom.
