A fantastic restaurant in the nearby forest (Les Closeaux - Restaurant & Gitesnature). The accommodation is ideal for a stay of several days to visit the nearby castles! Very warm welcome. The 2 rooms were very clean and comfortable. Extra care given in all aspects of the stay. The grounds were lovely. Peaceful, tranquil and restful.

We stayed here for 4 nights and would gladly return if coming to this area again. Madame Isabelle met us with a big smile and it was still there every day. The rooms were large, as big as some apartments. There was a small lounge/ kitchen area with frig. and kettle and a large lounge/diner big enough for 4 to 6. There were many magazines to read - obviously in French - tourist leaflets and advice on distances to a number of sites. Breakfast was good, just what we wanted, but we could have had more. We had a simple meal on our last day and it was delicious, with a glass of rosé as a gift. Mme. Isabelle was always available but never in the way!! A fount of knowledge and a most pleasant hostess. It was a short drive to the city and we found Parking Les Tanneurs very useful. It was a 3 minute walk to the town centre and it was free!!! There are plenty of restaurants just below the chateau and we used these. We found everybody we met extremely helpful. I have heart and back problems and used a stroller. If we came to steps very often people carried the chair up. A great help! As you can image we were very grateful. Obviously Mme Isabelle's charisma had spread to the locality.

Beautiful house in a quiet area set back from the river. Rooms are beautifully appointed with tea and coffee making facilities. Beds are very comfortable and large bathrooms. Added bonus was the guest kitchen complete with popcorn maker! Lovely guest lounge and we were lucky enough to have breakfast on the terrace. The hosts were lovely and so helpful!! Highly recommend and we will be back!

A lovely cottage outside of Amboise. Completely refurbished with a very good taste. The breakfast with home made jams was excellent. The host family was very nice. Would return anytime - it's a pity we only stayed one night.

Very clean and very well maintained house with beautiful park. Listening to the sound of a little river, birds, smelling the fresh air and looking at the green park makes you instantly calm. Much recommended. Owners were very welcoming and friendly people. Breakfast was great.

Stylish old house in the middle of Loare valley. Spectacular interiors with very interesting wallpapers and old furniture. Very comfortable bed, modern bath. Perfect tasty breakfast (especially scrumbled eggs and home made jams). Possibility of dining (five days a week) - home-made food with a twist of fine dining. Good choice of local wines. And last but not least wonderful, friendly, helpful hosts. We have felt rather like friends not a clients.
