Everything again. Lucky for us this was our second stay here for a bit longer and we’re so glad we got to go back! This is the most special place to stay. So much to explore in the area and so much space to yourself. Perfect for a stay with dogs. Our dog loves it here.

The unit was small but very well laid out and well decorated. Everything was spotlessly clean and the bathroom and shower were of a good size. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful and directed us to a nearby hotel for an evening meal and then suggested a number of spots to visit on our way south. Can highly recommend this property.

The name "Havenwood" is apt. Margaret and Bryce have a beautiful home in such pleasant, peaceful surroundings and it is, indeed, a haven. After travelling all day by motorcycle, this was the perfect last stop for us before we headed for the ferry home from Cairnryan the next morning. We received a warm welcome on our arrival and were made to feel at home. We had been caught in persistent rain and arrived with our bike gear soaked. Bryce and Margaret went above and beyond the call of duty by drying out all our gear for us that evening and it was great to have dry jackets and trousers for the next day. Bryce also offered to move the cars in the driveway so that we could put our motorcycle into the garage. We were provided with tea/coffee and cake on arrival and we really enjoyed the chat and laughs that evening with this lovely couple. I'm only sorry that I was so exhausted from all the travelling that I had to retire to bed. We had a great night's sleep in the beautiful bedroom, and the bathroom and shower were amazing! Breakfast the next morning was fabulous with fresh melon and berries, muesli, and a delicious cooked option too. I have to also mention that the tea and coffee was served in decent sized cups! Thank you Bryce and Margaret for your warm welcome and for your kindness on our Scottish journey. We really enjoyed our stay.

Beds are so comfortable, food beautiful and staff were so helpful. We had to leave a day early due to a family bereavement and staff refunded one night immediately. So grateful for sensitive response in a difficult time.

    The location is fantastic. The views and the sunsets are superb. The holiday home is modern and everything is as it should be. And yes, the shower floor has been repaired. We really enjoyed the stay, and the Nespresso machine with milk frother was a welcome surprise. The only downside is that the beds are not the most comfortable. I could easily sleep as the days at The Open wore me out. But a memory foam mattress topper would be great.

    Spacious property that is ideal as a holiday rental. Second floor apartment. Neighbours were quiet. Well-equipped and comfortable beds. Good shower. All the things we like! It's very bright outside at night but the blinds did a really good job of keeping the rooms dark. Very well-considered living space. We stay in self-catering flats a lot and Anchors Away really is up there in our top 10 of best accommodation we've stayed in. Thank you for exceeding our expectations.

    Very spacious house with plenty of rooms to relax in, it has everything you need for a home away from home, it’s in a very quiet street and a short car ride into the village. There’s a mini supermarket and some take a ways a ten minute walk or two minute drive away too so you have options closer to the village. Bonus points for the beers and coffee pods the host left. 😀

    Blackburn Villa is a lovely B&B. Very spacious,comfortable and spotlessly clean with Ayr Esplanade and beach at the end of the street. Excellent choice and quality of breakfast for all dietary requirements. Karen is a wonderful host and nothing is too much trouble for her. Will definitely be returning in the future.....10/10

    The location was excellent in terms of being central to everything. The hosts were fabulous and met us on arrival to hand over the keys. The amenities were brilliant, two bedrooms and lounge and a kitchen with washing machine, a holiday home away from home.
