I had a great stay here! The room was super clean, comfy and even bigger than expected. The guesthouse is really close to the city centre and just a short walk from the beach :) Olga is an absolute angel, thanks for being so lovely and helping me with my massive bagpack! Would definitely stay here again 🙏

The Haleklani retreat is set high up amidst beautiful green countryside with panoramic views from all the windows overlooking the sea. I loved looking at the boats out on the water. I saw an owl swooping by one early morning. The lawns Leading down from the terrace were immaculately cared for as was the entire house. The house is very spacious and beautifully decorated with original art and sculptures and big healthy tropical plants. The house was warm and immaculately clean and beautifully organised . I loved the freestanding white bath in the spacious new bathroom also overlooking the sea. There were quality soaps and shampoo and conditioner, thick cotton towels. Every comfort was thoughtfully provided. The bedroom had a fresh coffee maker and kettle and a range of teas. Anne provided filtered fresh water and milk which was kept fresh in the mini fridge. The bed was deeply comfortable with plush pillows. The house had a hush and peaceful ambiance with soothing background music and lighting. The breakfast was abundant and beautifully cooked and good quality with attention to details with sprigs of parsley on the butter. It was lovely to sit and feast overlooking the sloping lawn and big sky and sea. I loved relaxing in the lounge area and worked happily for hours on my websites with Anne offering me cups of tea and coffee. I was warm and snug on the winters days that I stayed and it was glorious when the sun shone in. If you’re wanting peace and harmony and comfort- this is the place to stay.

It was very clean and quiet. Great location to beach and town centre. Literally a 10 minute walk, and while homeward bound is a little up hill l, it’s not that bad. Also a great little pub across the road that does good meals. The ensuite room is on the 3rd floor, but not a big deal, unless you wanted to drag suitcases up. We just took up what we needed for the night. Bed was so fluffy and comfortable, we slept in. Both the hosts were very friendly and helpful. Lovely couple that are doing a great job of hosting. Even though there is no fridge in room, they have one on the landing for guest use.

    Great holiday home in a perfect location to explore Torquay and local sights. Walking distance to a lovely sandy calm beach- perfect for my little one. Free parking right outside (for 2 cars) which is a bonus as it’s chargeable on the street. All amenities in the kitchen and big bathtub and bathroom with shower too. The host was fab and was really helpful- he provided a travel cot and high chair for us, and let us park for slightly longer on check out. Apps on the TV like Netflix. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay here again.

    The location was ideal for what I needed - visiting friends in Shaldon and attending an event in Dartmouth. I cannot always cope with eating out and I really do not like hotels so this little studio fits the bill extremely well. I have booked again in August when my daughter and my grandchildren are in Torquay. I used to own a holiday home in Shaldon for many years so I know the area reasonably well.

    The whole holiday home is decorated beautiful everything is a short journey away.. zoo town beach.. beautiful settings we watched the sun set of the cliff most nights. They have paid real attention to detail.

    A lovely self catering holiday home. Really well furnished and much thought had gone into making sure every item you might need had been provided...I.e. washing up liquid/t-towels/kitchen towel/hairdryer etc. Also, some very nice welcome touches - a vase of daffodils and a nice picnic basket with coffee/tea/sugar/milk and local fudge and a large cookie. The owners who live nearby were friendly and helpful.
