My weekend stay at Blue Tit Lodge in Kilkee was nothing short of delightful, and I'm eager to share my positive experience. From the moment we arrived, the hostess greeted us with a warm smile, setting the tone for a wonderful stay. The holiday spirit was alive as the entire house was beautifully decorated for Christmas, creating a cozy and festive atmosphere. Our room was not only spacious but tastefully decorated, providing a comfortable and inviting retreat. The cleanliness of the bathroom was impeccable, and the ample space added to the overall comfort of our stay. One thoughtful touch that stood out was the provision of extra blankets in the cupboard, anticipating the chilly weather. This attention to detail ensured we stayed warm and snug throughout the night, contributing to a restful sleep on the comfortable bed. The following morning, we were treated to a breakfast that exceeded expectations. Every item, from the freshly baked bread to the scones and muffins, was homemade and bursting with flavor. The hostess displayed genuine care and attentiveness, ensuring our plates were never empty and our cups were always filled. A major highlight of Blue Tit Lodge is its convenient location—it's just a 15-minute walk to both the beach and the town center. This makes it an ideal choice for those looking to explore the local attractions while enjoying a peaceful retreat. Even in winter, the garden maintained its charm and beauty, adding an extra layer of tranquility to our stay. The well-kept surroundings enhanced the overall appeal of the lodge and provided a pleasant backdrop to our weekend getaway. In conclusion, Blue Tit Lodge exceeded my expectations in every aspect. From the warm welcome and festive decor to the spacious and well-decorated room, every detail was carefully considered. Really enjoyed our stay in this quiet unique little spot. Very clean, cosy and complimentary. Kids enjoyed the space to run around and play. Host was so lovely, especially as we were late arriving. Highly recommend 🙂

Everything you need, this property has it. Along with the amazing fresh bread Jack left for us and other groceries like milk, butter, biscuits etc. Jack also kindly provided a local review of places to visit and things to do which helped greatly. Overall, it was a great peaceful stay.

    It was a self catering option, but welcome items were left for us, bread, milk, tea etc. It was very central to the village of Doonbeg, so an easy walk to shops, pubs and restaruants.

    Lovely holiday home set in a quiet location, rooms were well laid out, furnished nicely and very clean. Comfortable beds, towels provided. Greeted on arrival and shown around, hosts provided bread, milk, orange juice etc which was a nice touch when we'd travelled so far. Easy to communicate with hosts who were friendly and accommodating, would recommend and visit again.

    The bungalow is situated with good views of the bay and surrounding countryside. The house was very clean, comfortable, and well equipped. Michael the owner was very friendly and always on hand if we needed anything. We had a very peaceful relaxing time. The location was excellent, with easy access to Doonbeg village, Kilkee, Kilrush, and the nearest beach was within walking distance.
