I don’t even know where to begin. I loved every single part of my stay here. The couple living here made me feel like I was a part of their family. The wife cooked me all my meals which were not only cheap but also so delicious. They made sure I was okay and I felt safe all the time. Besides they helped me with my further travels so I was prepared for the next step. I had a lot of conversations with the wife, and even tough her English is not the best, it was a joy. There is really not much to do on Monroe Island, but the husband of the family helped me with a bike and a kayak. My deepest thanks to the both of you!

Everything is possible here: kayaking or canoeing tours, scooter rental, bike tours or informative walks through the village, cooking traditional dishes with the family, laundry service, assistance with errands, and much more. The location is ideal: right on a backwater canal and close to the train station, shopping, and restaurants. Although you'll hardly visit the restaurants after tasting Anand's mother's cooking. The rooms themselves are clean and equipped with everything you need. The rooms above the pond in the garden with their terrace over the water are particularly unique. Thanks to the peaceful atmosphere, the view of nature, and the various seating areas, you can relax here for hours. The room was very clean and spacious with a lovely terrace area, table and seating. The large bed was the most comfortable we have had in India. Our host was very friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty and plentiful. Our sunrise canoe ride was magical, the highlight of our stay.

The host family is so helpful. The food is unbelievable, and the rooms are the best I have stayed in at this price range. Munroe has been the highlight of the trip so far. Only wish I had stayed longer. If you are going to Munroe, stay here you won't be disappointed.
