- Great location, very close to the railway station (which is extremely helpful especially if you plan to travel to Cinque Terre), but also very close to the beach & sea. - Great seaside view from the terrace (we were literally just a few steps away from the seafront) - The apartment looks great - very modern, very clean, very bright. Modern furniture, the kitchen is fully equipped, the shower works perfectly. - Very friendly host - she upgraded for free our apartment, so we received a two-bedroom one instead of the one-bedroom one we booked. She said that this was the single apartment that also had seaside view from the bedroom (not only from the kitchen/living terrace). - We had 3 smart TVs in the apartment (one for each bedroom and one for the living). - Many good restaurants nearby (both fancier ones such as Pescador, which is right next to the hotel, and more traditional ones such as Gourmet). - The city is very peaceful and nice. A great location for accommodation if you are planning a holiday in Cinque Terre (I recommend to book an accommodation here instead of the Cinque Terre villages which are very crowded and more expensive, and just travel by train every day to Cinque Terre)

The Bed and Breakfast is a gem in Sestri Levante - all is there, of course, if you do not expect extras which only 4- or 5-star chain hotels can boast of. This accommodation is for those who love homelike atmosphere and care. The owner, Francesco, is a great host and a person. He gives good tips on where to eat and relax, what to see and do, and how to get to the local sights which Liguria abounds with. His sister, who is also in the business, is also a great personality. I really felt at home at their place. These positive emotions fortify when you get around the property and find that the Portobello is in between two sand beaches - one in the East where the sun rises and one in the West, where the sun sets. In front there is a square with a small cathedral in it. From the windows we got stunning views of the beaches, the cathedral, and the castle which mounts behind it. The B&B is in a 10-minute stroll from the railway station, which is a pleasant walk along the small town's streets. Around the property there are plenty of shops, pasticerias, small cafes and restaurants. In the morning the hosts offer an excellent breakfast, and through the day you can get tea and coffee and some snacks. I shall get back one day, no doubts. The place was spacious and clean and we were made to feel very at home with a friendly welcome by the host. We ate our breakfast on the balcony, even spotting a turtle in the garden below. We went for a lovely local hike and on our way home we bought groceries from the nearby shops and cooked dinner using the fully stocked kitchen. The host had some great local tips and recommendations (we went twice to the gelato place!) and he was on top of communications, ensuring we had a smooth check in and check out. Highly recommended if you want a break from the tourist crowds, with only a short walk to town.

The apartment was very well equipped and very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with basics to make our stay comfortable. The bed was comfy and our daughter slept soundly in her travel cot which was very kindly provided. The shutters made the rooms nice and dark of a night. George and Gabry were excellent hosts, they gave us lots of recommendations for the local area. The location is excellent, just a few minutes walk to the train station, a play area, the beach and centre. We had a lovely four nights here and would recommend.

I LIKE SO MUCH THIS BIG BEAUTIFUL HOUSE IN SESTRI LEVANTE. CRISTINA, WHO HELPED ME, WAS SO NICE. THE HOUSE WAS VERY CLEAN AND BEAUTIFUL. HAS EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO PREPARE FOOD. 30 MINUTES WALK TO TRAIN STATION AND BEACH AND POPULAR PLACES OF SESTRI LEVANTE. Cristina ALSO LEFT FOR ME A BICYCLE AND ALL INSTRUCTIONS ABOUT HOW TO FIND THIS HOUSE. The only thing missing was shampoo and shower gel. It would also be nice to leave some oil in the kitchen, as it is not very convenient for a one-day traveler to buy a bottle of oil every time. Otherwise, everything was great. It's a gorgeous house. I was very happy to be a guest in this beautiful place. THANK YOU SO MUCH CRISTINA AND OWNER OF THIS HOUSE MARIO. I REALLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.
