Amazing onsen both in the room and public, stunning lake view from the lounge, free tea and croissants that were not even advertised, shuttle to JR station, just generally a very elegant and cozy vibe. One of the best ryokans I ever stayed at.

The hotel was next to the ice festival and it was amazing. The food was delicious and the staff was so nice. Also the onsen was great. I would recommend! Also they made a breakfast bentobox on the go

Food was excellent and welcoming. Only difficulty was knowing how to get there. It was not clear nor was it clear how close the ice festival/sculpture was to the facility. Suprisingly close to ice sculptures and surprisingly seamless transportation to and from facility. However, it was not clear they had transportation to facility and it was diff to figure it out.

This is my 2nd time staying here. Checkin and checkout were v seamless and no waiting time. Location is close to airport and car rental which is most convenient.we stayed the night and next morning walked 10mins to the car rental to pick up the car. The beds are comfortable and the room.spacious with small kitchenette. The Toto brand toilet is superb. no need to bring shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, everything is there for use.

Kyukamura Shikotsuko offers accommodation in Chitose and features a garden. A hot spring bath is available for guests, along with a sauna. Free WiFi is available.

Probably one of the best stay we had on our trip. The view from the room is absolutely stunning: overseeing the lake with mountains on the back, snow falling, ideal to watch sunset in the morning. Rooms are cozy and warm, quite spacious as well. Although not mentioned in our reservation, a traditional japanese style dinner was included: duck nabe, raw sea food, grilled fish, soup, etc. Breakfast Buffet was good as well, offering mainly Japanese food and a few continental options. The onsen was an absolute dream. Four pools are available, 2 inside and 2 outside with an amazing view on the lake. It opens from 4AM to 9AM and from 4PM to 11PM. It was such an amazing experience to go to the onsen at night under the snow but also to watch the sun rising in the morning. It felt like a movie. Our biggest concern was the transportation as we didn't have a car. From Sapporo, we took the JR train to Chitose and then took the Chuo bus SORA4 (about 50 min and ¥1050). The bus was super crowded as all passengers going to Shikotsuko had heavy luggage. The bus was delayed but the hotel shuttle bus waited for us. Would recommend to contact the hotel beforehand to inform them that you will take the shuttle bus. The whole road to the Hotel was such a delight for the eyes, many deers on the way and lakeview on the other side. Would highly recommend this hotel!

The host make this place warm like your home. Spacious, clean, well organised and furnished. It contains all the apparatus that you need in your own home, like kitchen appliances, washing machine, drying machine, microwave oven, toast oven. If you bring toddler, they have toys and baby high-chair too. The host also add-value to this apartment, because he made delicious bagels for us, as breakfast. These bagels are freshly made daily, with local ingredients, by traditional methods. Bagels are the best I ever eat !! Location is near Eniwa train station, which is near new Chitose airport. If you drive, there’s carpark. Highly recommend if you come to Hokkaido!
