Excellent Location and Value, Superb Room and Host Stay location was perfect, a small walk to most sightseeing spots and port to Sensui Island Also its right next to a temple and housing to cats The value you get for this stay is incredible, the entire place is beautiful, but it does get cold at night though but still the value for what you pay is worth it, almost feel spoiled with the spacious and clean rooms. The host were very helpful, kind and welcoming - recommended many great spots , one spot I highly recommend is the nearby restaurant Kichi - the owner is super welcoming and cool. Loved this stay and was the perfect stay for 2 nights in Tomonoura Highly recommend and I would 100 percent stay again

The building and the room were stunning. Extremely big, cleaned and comfortable. If you want to experience the slow-quite life mood of the village, you need to spend a night there. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus from Fukuyama to the main hotel (Ofutei Hotel), once the shuttle bus reservation is confirmed, ask about the bus stop information as it may be impossible without. Once arrived in Tomonoura you will be greet by the staff with a cold welcoming drink, and you will make the check-in. They don’t speak a fluent English, but honestly it’s not a big deal. Once the check-in will be completed, a member of the staff will bring you by car to the accommodation (4min car distance). The breakfast is generous and mainly traditional, with some little sweet-westerner style options too. If you have any food concerns or or requirements, be sure to inform them in advance.

The staff was exceptionally professional and friendly. The room was cozy and offered a beautiful view. The dinner was delicious and beautifully presented and portions were generous. The hotel did not forget the two dishes we added when we booked the hotel. The added dishes of fried sea bream bones and the braised fish head were nicely prepared and were very good value for money. The quality of the dishes was superb. Most enjoyable and relaxing stay. I wish I had time for one more night! Must come back.

The owner of the guest house is an absolute legend. The house is amazing and very cosy and clean. The accomodation has a very authentic Japanese atmosphere. The owner speaks little English but nonetheless tried very hard to communicate with us even though we spoke little Japanese. We still had a great conversation with a lot of laughs. The beds were very comfy, the room was nice and the service was amazing.

Incredible stay at Keishokan Sazanamitei. Beautiful views and really enjoyed staying in Tomonoura and exploring the port town and nearby islands. Would highly reccomend getting half board option - the food was so amazing, so fresh and felt like we really got a real taste of the area. Also loved the hot springs.

Beautiful traditional japanese house located in the heart of Onomichi, loved every minuted we've stayed there. The house inside was very clean & modern and had everything you need in an accommodation, while still retaining the charm of an traditional house. Location is perfect with many restaurants, bars, shops nearby at the shopping arcade down below, 10 minutes by foot to the train station. Check-In was done via key code and communication with the owner was quick, friendly and helpful.

4.9 km from Saikokuji Temple, Ryokan Onomichi Nishiyama is a recently renovated property located in Onomichi and provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking.

From the moment we were first welcomed to this Ryokan we experienced an exceptionally warm, friendly and professional service from all members of the team. Rooms were beautiful and spacious. The private bathroom was wonderful. The restaurant really completed the experience - top quality food complimented (in our case) by a wine pairing. Dinner is strongly influenced by French cooking but with a Japanese twist. We were seated looking on to the open kitched with great interaction with the team of chefs. This was our last stop in our 28 day trip to Japan and was one of the very best. We took the breakfast plus dinner option and for the quality would consider it excellent value. A definite recommendation to anyone

The apartment was well equipped, spotlessly clean and perfectly located for the start of the Shimanami Kaido cycling trail. The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower and bath were great, and the room had plenty of supplies, amenities and even a washing machine with detergent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend.
