It was very close to the Gion Matsuri and Gion in general which was our main reason for staying in Kyoto, with many bus and train stations nearby it was easy to venture anywhere in Kyoto either by commute or walking. The staff was super helpful and could communicate in perfect English and even let us borrow an HDMI cable so we could set up our laptop to our tv in the room! The hotel in general was very fresh and modern and felt excellent for the family with its central location close to both food, shopping, sightseeing and more! It was a very calm and quiet neighbourhood aside from the Yoiyama during Gion Matsuri. The Kabin app you use to check in was super convenient and you could take free amenities 24/7 which was great!

Everything was clean, new and worked very well. The washing machine came in very handy if you are travelling for long, the bathroom had a drying function for your clothes. The microwave had a toasting function so it was very easy to make breakfast for two people. Staff was great. Even though all the staff didn’t know English, they managed to get the information through which was very appreciated! The location is good, close to the subway and a quiet area. 30 min walk to Fushiminari!

This was a very pleasant place to stay. The room was very comfortable and clean. The bed was very comfortable and had a heating pad for the back. Good Japanese breakfast. Great area to reach most of the attractions, but not too crowded with tourists.

A dream stay!! We waited a long time to get a chance to stay here and it did not disappoint. Steeped in tradition. The service was too notch! The food is over the top. You must opt in for dinner as well to have the whole experience. I tried my first Onsen and went back a second day. They made me feel so comfortable. This experience and lovely place should be on all trips to Kyoto.... it's small so book well in advance. Thank you so much for taking such good care of us.

Clean, warm, cosy room. Kevin, the owner, is absolutely fantastic. He drove us to the rental place to pick up our car. He gave us loads of information for the area and even provided free washing powder for the coin laundry around the corner. He also provides free tea/coffee and water and luggage storage. What more could you want! Extremely good value for money.
