Absolutely amazing onsen hotel, great location, friendly staff, we also enjoyed the kaiseki dinner so much that we ordered it again. Same with the traditional breakfast. It doesn't get any more authentically Japanese than this, anywhere you go, quintessentially Japanese!

The private, unobstructed view of the Torii gate itself is worth booking this place for. But on top of that, it’s a spacious, beautiful traditional Japanese house. Easily the most beautiful stay of the trip. There’s a great ramen place and konbini (convenience) store just a few mins walk down the road. I was 5 km far from the guesthouse while I booked it on Booking, I just finished the mountain part of Kumano Kodo Kohechi at 18:00. The owner contacted me on Booking immediately, and told me she can drive to where I am (a restaurant) to pick me to Guesthouse Yui, so warm!

Adumaya Ryokan is the perfect way to explore Yunomine Onsen. We stayed two nights as part of our hiking route through the Kumano Kodo, and coming back to Adumaya to relax on its multiple baths was one of the highlights of our trip. The ryokan is a deep and layered blend of history and tradition; the service is unbeatable, the dinner incredible, and the experience a real treat. We particularly appreciated the above-and-beyond help they provided to ensure our next leg of the trip was seamless.

Absolutely magical location. The hotel has rooms with views that absolutely take your breath away. You look straight out onto a beautiful forest with nothing else in sight. The Japanese style rooms are huge and have a private bathroom with amazing views of the forest and river below. The outdoor onsen at the hotel is the best in Kawayu. It’s clean and right on the bank of the river looking out onto the forest. You can soak in the onsen and then take a dip in the fresh cold river a few steps away. This is a stay to remember for a lifetime.

Right next to the supermarket so we could get ingredients for dinner and breakfast. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. Rooms have their own sinks which was a bonus. The room stayed very warm for winter. Really nice views and close to other sightseeing places.
