The host Michiyo was the absolute sweetest and kindest lady. She brought my kids to her garden to pick fresh veges and was so warm. The place was beautiful, and made the experience immersive.

The house is gorgeous, clean, and thoughtfully designed. The owner's attention to detail and warm hospitality made our stay truly memorable. We're especially grateful for the generous sharing of their farm produce - the vegetables, rice, soy sauce, and BBQ sauces were all incredibly fresh and delicious. The drive up to the location was gorgeous, the host picked me up from Tsumago and after my stay dropped me off to the Nagiso train station. While the host speaks limited english, he is a wonderful conversationalist and a joy to talk to. The accommodation itself is very spacious, the interior design beautiful, and the onsen baths were at really comfortable temperature for me. While I was unable to eat all of the food they served (I have a small stomach, not their fault), I really wish i could have, because I think it was one of the best meals I've ever had. I will definitely come back some day.

Hotel Fuki no Mori is a 20-minute ride from JR Nagiso Train Station on the hotel’s free shuttle. Guests can enjoy walks at the garden or the scenic areas surrounding the hotel.

Location was fantastic, in the middle of the nature. Onsen spectacular. High quality food, delicious Japanese cuisine. It was a dream to spend a couple of nights in this amazing hotel. To regenerate yourself.

The service was beyond excellent. I cannot commend the staff enough for their kindness and commitment to making sure we were fully taken care of. In particular, the gentleman who speaks English, he made sure to always check in with us / follow through with whatever we needed. I also loved the fact that there are private onsen rooms, AND private indoor / outdoor onsens available for booking (since both of us have tattoos).
