I'm honestly blown away by the great stay we had! The staff was amazing and chatted with us in great English. The guesthouse is small and only holds a handful of people which gives this all a feel of familiarity. There's a community room with board games, musical instruments and free snacks and you can cook your own food there. The guesthouse also offers a lot of stuff you can rent for free. All in all, if we ever make it back to Ise this would definitely be our Number 1 choice.

We LOVED the personalised service provided in traditional inns - especially by our caretaker and waitron Yasuyo Ohnishi! There can be no better location on the seashore within reach of Ise Temple Complex, located on Futiminoura Beach. They will pick you up and drop you off at the closest station and a  100m walk to the beautiful "wedded rocks (at Futamiokitama Shinto Shrine) is worth it even on a hot day! It was pouring  rain when we arrived early so the driver dropped us off a beautifully restored old traditional mansion set in a tranquil zen garden to wait for reception to open at 3pm. We only realised later it's only 3 houses away from the hotel so easily accessible bonus for Oishiya's guests ! The meals (dinner and breakfast was included) was exceptional and extensive with more than 5 courses, each one beautifully arranged in trays and in stunning pottery, served by the lovely and ever helpful  Yashyu Ohnishi in her immaculate kimono Dinner was attended in the Inn's provided kimono's which really added to the experience of Japanese culture we were looking for in a traditional Inn or Ryokan like this. The private Onsen (hot spring bath) was a great bonus for two shy westerners as was the slightly raised western beds in our beautiful tatami mat room with a view to the ocean and shoji screens (rather than curtains) to manage the light! It was by far the most pleasant and perfect stay in more than 30 years of travel internationally!

This is second time to stay here and it was definitely right choice. Many things were upgraded not only in facilities but also in services. Dormitory room changed more spacious, enough to open my big travel case. Bed was also nice, equipped with a reading light and a large side shelve for putting stuffs. It was really nice! Free wifi service was great enough for working with PC in common lounge. Everything was perfect, so I will definitely come again.

The entire estate was very beautiful, and the owner and the staff were very friendly and hospitable to my family. The food was impeccable for both dinner and breakfast, and it was very beautifully presented. The rooms were spacious, clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The girl that was managing the desk was absolutely amazing! She would help with everything we needed! Rooms are super cozy and duvet is so fluffy and nice! The shard kitchen/common area was really nice and had everything you needed, even a piano. We borrowed bike's from them and it was a life saver and the kids loved riding around town ❤️ we rode them to the ninja kingdom and the aquarium, super convenient! I do recommend this place!

    Beautiful old house, located just a few minutes' walk from the Meoto Iwa rocks in a small village, easily accessible by train from Ise. It was a great place to visit Meoto Iwa and Ise. The room was big, with seaview, and the dinner courses were fantastic. Very good breakfast as well.
