Moriwaki San was very accommodating and considerate. He gave me information about the Susa shrine ( just next door!) and also recommended other nearby places. He can make very good coffee! So please try! The room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. The next morning the view over the river and fields was stunning and I went for a walk. I felt refreshed.

Rita Izumo is an ancient warehouse that has been beautifully renovated. The inside in ancient wood is very cosy, every object has been chosen with care and taste. Very comfortable space, lovely fresh flowers in every room. My host, Yamane San was very welcoming, kind and helpful. Thank you for everything 🙌🏻 Delicious breakfast in an old soy brewery next door with the kindest host. I can only highly recommend Rita Izumo when staying in Izumo !

Very pleasant surprise : this is a very confortable appartement in a quiet neighbourhood litteraly steps away from the main sanctuary of Izumo. You need a car to get there but there is a reserved parking spot in the back. Free NetFlix and a superb Harman Kardon speaker bluetooth connects easily with your phone for some feel-at-home music. A small "Supa" right in front will provide to your basic needs otherwise, a 5min drive will get you all you need for a dinner at home. The only draw back is the owner : you have to phone him (not convenient with a Canadian line : we had to find a public phone) to get him to remotely unlock the entrance. But once in, it is home! We highly recommand.

Despite the language barrier, everyone was very friendly and helpful. The kaiseki dinner was really delicious!

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The perfect amount of space for 4 adults and a baby. The bath looks very nice, and I would recommend leaving enough time in your schedule to use it. There is a convenience store nearby and it is easy access by car to Izumo Shrine.
