The room we had was amazing, the dinner exceptional, the breakfast overwhelming. It was a stop we made between 3 days in Kyoto and 3 days in Tokyo and it was such a special experience, definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Staff is kind and attentive.

First class experience from start to finish! Everyone working at The GrandWest were incredibly welcoming and we cannot fault their focus on customer service, whether helping us with bike rental (free for 2 hours) or providing towels/discounts, etc for the local Onsen. The breakfast was delicious and they had a great array of teas/coffees available for free. The quality of materials used in and around the hotel were sustainable and stylish and the roof garden a lovely idea. The location was ideal, a short stroll (5/10 mins) from the key locations on our itinerary in Arashiyama, which is the most gorgeous place. Thanks again to everyone at The GrandWest. 10/10

Beautiful structure a few steps from everything and well connected by public transport. Very clean room, very comfortable Futons. I relaxed a lot, it was a beautiful experience that I absolutely recommend doing in this Ryokan. The staff welcomed us in a wonderful way, very kind and helpful. I appreciated everything. A wonderful place for those looking for the real Japan. Heartfelt thanks to all the staff for the beautiful memory.

We had a very pleasant stay at ORI Kyoto. The facility is very modern, very very clean, the staff is kind and very helpful and our room was amazing! It was big enough for us and beds are very comfortable. One plus thing is we didn’t have to bring room keys/cards as smartlocks are installed and you just have to insert the code. There’s also laundry room just one step away from our room. Bathroom is also considerably big. The nearest subway station is just 5 mins walk and there’s a 7/11 at the end of the street. Overall 10/10.
