Mr Nakamura was so welcoming and even though I barely spoke any Japanese, staying at Setouchi Life really allowed me to experience life in the Japanese countryside and get to know all the fellow wonderful homestay guests, with whom I ate dinners and traveled around. Hospitality was amazing.

Location is easy to find as you just have to follow the main road to find it, it is on the 4th floor and the host is the owner of the Takoyaki shop on the first floor. The inn was an old traditional Japanese building. It was a unique space and a good experience. Some rooms have tatami mats. It was interesting to see large boats coming and going on the sea in front of us. Near the inn, there is a walking trail and an old town. It is a maze of narrow streets where people still live and greet the elderly people they meet. When you reach the top of the hill, you can see a wide view and even the city of Hiroshima. Nearby is an old sake brewery where we were able to sample various flavors of sake.

For two of us, this place was perfect. It would also be very spacious for 6 people too as it was very spacious. Everywhere was immaculately clean. Convenient location.
