Beautiful Ryokan in a great location. The onsen is lovely and the food is absolutely amazing. The little details provided by the staff really made the experience feel special and personalised (from the welcoming message, gift for the kids, help with the bags and detailed explanations). The room is also beautiful and well equipped. I left wanting to stay longer :-)

    The room was spacious and the historic atmosphere of the hotel was wonderful. The cave onsen was interesting, but not very hot honestly. Situated along the riverside was dramatic and so picturesque. I was fine sleeping on the futon mattresses on the tatami mats, but my friend complained that she was very uncomfortable. The food was ever-so delicious, but just too much for us old folks. It is a very romantic atmosphere and walking around the village was enjoyable.

    The cottage/villa-style accommodation with adjoining private indoor & open air bath was incredible. The option for further private open-air baths just made it even better. Staff were super lovely, and the communal irori space with free sake & tea was a nice touch.

    Beautiful little house, but is part of a bigger hotel across the street so you can use the 5 private onsen and open-air bath there. Close to the center of the village where the shops and other hot springs are located. Staff was very courteous and friendly.

    It is an old building right on the river, in a great location for the village and onsens. There was free coffee in the lobby before or after breakfast. We had a corner room with a great view of the river.

    🩵✨I love everything here! Everything is so nice. Traditional and clean. The staff are super kind and helpful. They offered their help in anything to make sure you have a pleasant stay🥰. The food is also GREAT and Delicious!! The ONSEN is superb! There’s many of them which you must be trying it, of course you should because this place is onsen village😂 anyway if we have a chance to come here again this place is definitely in our top list. Thank you so much for having us Kurokawa onsen Oku no Yu 🩷🤍
