The owner who welcomed us was very friendly, and even though he didn't speak English, we managed to communicate. With the help of a translator, he explained everything about the room and gave us some tips and local information. The room was huge and traditionally furnished. Our child was fascinated by all the details. An incredible experience. The bathroom we were assigned was very clean and spacious. It was also great that there was a parking lot where we could leave our car.

Thank you very much to the hotel owner for their warm hospitality! I traveled by bike in Japan for 3 months and booked 70 hotels in advance. I couldn't help staying here for an extra night. Although it was worth wasting the expenses of the last three hotels to catch up with the itinerary. We enjoyed everything about this lovely, small ryokan. Almost no English is spoken here as very few western tourists visits. Google Translate was a life saver. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was large and our private onsen was amazing! Both dinner and breakfast were ample and delicious. We took full advantage of our time here and had a wonderful stay. Parking is easy and the location is great - not far from Kumamoto. Perfect for a one-night, special stay.
