We loved our 4 nights at Uno Port Inn- loved the location (close to ferries, the train, 7-Eleven, & the delightful Osaka-ya restaurant), our beautiful Kurosawa Room with its private deck and bathroom and the friendly, welcoming and very capable staff. The guesthouse is quite close to the JR station (5 or 7 minutes on foot). Easily found following google maps instructions. Also easy to spot. The place was spotless and very quiet. Price was very low (also considering I stayed a whole weekend) compared to other structures.

It had everything we need for our family of 4. Masako, the host, was incredibly friendly and picked us up at the port and also dropped us back too. She even made us onigiri for our trip out of Naoshima! Best host ever :)

The room is filled with artworks and thoughtful details arranged by the host. It has a modern Japanese style — the combination of light and shadow, pumpkins, and tatami mats was such a pleasant surprise. The mattress was very comfortable and easy to sleep on. There’s also a great big refrigerator, and the kitchen utensils are stylish and beautiful. The overall stay was amazing — my friends and I truly enjoyed our time here. I’m very grateful for such a wonderful accommodation experience on Naoshima.

Kuni-san and Akkie-san were incredible hosts! They went above and beyond to make our stay as smooth as possible, meeting us to pick up and drop off our luggage at the port when we arrived and left, and making a restaurant reservation for us in advance at their favourite spot. Could not recommend a stay at Tsumuya more!
