Staffs are very helpful. We arrived slightly early on the first day, the staff helped to speedily prepare the room and allowed us early check-in. Dinners on the two nights were different and both were good. Free shuttle bus service to Hakkoda Ropeway is out of our expectation. Scenery at the backyard near the shrine was amazing especially around 3 to 4pm before the sunset (14 Oct).

I didn’t regret for booking 2N here. It’s not cheap but there’s some which are even more expensive… We paid ¥58908 half board ( dinner +breakfast) each night for a couple. They’ve a welcome drink ( apple juice n coffee) daily. There’s a large relaxing room with comfortable chairs for you to admire the garden n ice-creams ( though very small ones) provided n water . We were given 15 min onsen free for couple-room which you can paid for 1-hr usage if you like to spend longer time with your spouse. They’ve gender segregated onsen for hotel guests free. The meals are just heavenly. Staff are helpful n friendly n can speak some English ( very important for non-locals like us who don’t speak n understand Japanese ) Definitely will come back if visiting this place again. Lastly want to thank Tsuta Onsen Ryokan and Booking.com for their alliance together so that I can book confidently without worry ( some ryokans only book via their website n it’s all in Japanese 😅🤣🥹) . Always Booking.com is my FIRST CHOICE in all my booking for hotel stay as they presented the important n relevant information clearly. Everything was great! The house is lovely, a good mix of older Japanese features and modern comforts. It was cozy, the kitchen worked well and the in-house onsen was a perk! Communication with Alex was also excellent.
