There is only 1 main accommodation area and the house has high roof, so it feels very open and spacious for me. Well ventilated with plenty of fresh air and natural light. I loved the feel of a wooden Japanese house. Everything was very clean and cozy. Loved the outdoor kitchen, lovely outdoor cooking experience; and outdoor areas, makes it easy to dry up after a rainy hiking day. The home is well equipped with racks and amenities (washing clothes, cooking). The host was so warm and caring, she checked in with you to provide necessary information on getting around and visiting Yakushima. Ask her about the meaning of the name Tomarigi, it’s very sweet. Thank you so much for my comfortable and close-to-nature stay, I had an amazing time!

It’s big, it’s beautiful, totally in wood, it’s spacious, it’s sort of isolated but yet walking distance from the onsen and a really good restaurant! The owner is very responsive and has been helping us prepare the trip from the day of the booking months before we arrive, answering our questions about the ferries, car rental, weather, etc. I was there with a friend d and would love to return with the family; my kids and wife would love it 🥰

An amazing place to stay for a vacation in Yakushima. The location is spectacular with a sea view, the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The owners of the hotel are charming and help with everything we need, they helped us perfectly in preparing the visit to the island. I had a wonderful time staying at Daichan house. The host helped me finishing my hiking plan. Drove me to the nearest grocery store and also helped me to buy the correct bus ticket for Jomon sugi hike. Again, thank you very much !!! The accomodation on itself was perfect for me : It's clean and quiet. I recommend this accomodation for any travelers in Yakushima !

it was very conveniently located near the airport and car rentals. The hotel had a nice onsen facility. The room was spacious, we fell asleep with the sound of river behind our window. it was nice to move ariund the hotel barefoot
