Great location, perfectly functional AC and bathroom and shower were always clean. Washing machine was clean and worked well I appreciated it much. There was no dryer but since it’s summer clothes got dried out fast anyway.

Our hosts Mr. Taguchi and Ms. Taguchi were very kind and gave us many information before our stay and also during our stay. They even drove us to the shop to buy a bus ticket. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The location is very quiet and beautiful. The bath is very very nice, a combination of modern shower and traditional bathrooms. The breakfast at Taguchi San residence was incredibly delicious. We will definitely come back here one day.

Felt very homely, was basic but clean, comfortable and right next to the airport. The owner, Satomi さん, was incredibly kind and helpful throughout the stay, helping to plan the best places to go as well as transport and making homemade onigiri for hikes.

The location is conveniently situated near a public bus stop, only a short one-to-two minute walk away, and a supermarket is within a ten-minute walk. Parking is available for guests arriving by car. This is the most beautiful cottage, giving a real sense of tranquility in the stunning Yakushima. It felt like a home away from home, and the hosts are so warm and welcoming. You can feel how much thought and time has gone into making this cottage as special as it is. I was in Yakushima to reunite with a friend, and this was such a lovely setting to return to after our daily adventures around the island. This must be the best place to stay on Yakushima - the garden is as beautifully kept as the cottage. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
