We spent a full week at this hotel, and surprisingly, we were the only guests during our dates – it felt like a private retreat. Our family received full attention, and the experience was warm and memorable. The children’s room had the best ocean view, twin beds, and excellent air conditioning. I especially enjoyed sitting on their balcony – the view was simply stunning. Our main room, located in the center of the building, was the most spacious. In the evenings, we loved gathering in the living room on the ground floor to play games together as a family. The ocean and surrounding views are breathtaking. Food was varied and delicious each day, and we especially appreciated the breakfast – fresh fruit and pancakes in all sorts of delightful versions. Special thanks to Mr. Shirley, who kindly took us on a river safari and to the turtle farm. The staff deserves a separate mention – extremely kind and attentive. A special thank-you goes to Aruna, who literally saved us during a beach walk when two large monitor lizards suddenly ran toward us – it was a very frightening moment for the kids and me. The only downside that truly affected my peace of mind was the presence of these large monitor lizards roaming freely on the property. Their size made it hard for me to fully relax outdoors. Overall, a unique, beautiful, and heartfelt experience – with just one wild twist.

And you’re lucky to step into that space. He’s the kind of host who leaves a quiet impression — the kind you remember long after you leave. Breakfasts were beyond delicious — fresh, local, made with attention and soul. Every morning felt like a gentle invitation to slow down and enjoy life. The garden is full of life — lush greenery, cinnamon trees, soft air. The ocean is just 50 meters away — and the beach is so quiet and beautiful, it truly feels like it’s all yours. This is a place of peace and beauty — perfect for those who seek true rest, far from noisy crowds. An authentic villa, a pool, nature, and a sense of care. The property is very well presented with large bedroom & bathroom & terrace - the breakfast was served just outside our room. The swimming was excellent and well maintained and warm. The staff were very welcoming and worked hard to keep us all happy. The beach was a 5 min walk and is stunning - very natural and untouched. The wifi worked in the whole of the hotel.

Almost everything! The whole family made our stay incredible, felt a bit like being around your own family. -Food is healthy and home cooked every single day, breakfast is amazing. There’s too much option to choose from. Baba, our day to day server, even jumped up to climb trees to get us some fresh coconuts. -Room is immaculate, you won’t find any dust and they clean everyday. It’s a nice feeling coming home from a day trip. We found almost no mosquitoes or insects at all. -Shower, it can be really hot shower above 8 o’clock in the morning, try to take your shower early. We enjoyed our outdoor shower, birds chirping and the river behind the property makes it really sound idyllic. -Location, it’s a bit in the middle of nowhere (which we enjoy), but you can easily access the road and the beach within 10 mins, and they provide tuk tuk (or car) to transfer to the nearest beach which is handy. - Staff! Shout out to Roshana, Baba, and Ishuru to name a few! Amazing people and very good at they do. The family provides recommendations for trips all around the country. They literary took us everyone, which we found super convenient and well priced. Overall, we were super impressed by this little gem!

    Everything. It was the best experience we could imagine. A very beautifully furnished villa with a stunning view to wake up to every morning, a paradise of privacy with an empty amazing beach next to you, what could be better? We really enjoyed the wonderful meals for breakfast, lunch and especially dinner each day. Sri Lankan food dinners experience was unforgettable! Don’t hesitate to ask for anything you want and you will get much more that exceed your expectations!

    Villa Carla is a gem. The hotel is right in front of the beach and has only a few rooms, each It’s beautifully decorated by the owners. The staff is great, always super helpful and very discreet. The beach in front of the hotel is one of the best we’ve seen in Sri Lanka! We only stayed at Villa Carla for three days. This is a place where to spend and relax for at least a week! We hope to Come back soon!

    Villa Carla is an idyllic spot right on a beautiful beach. The staff are lovely and can’t do enough for you. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind.
